This Bell helmet a replica of the off road Bell racing helmet worn by Harvey Mushman. When McQueen raced bikes in the sixties he nearly always wore a Bell helmet. Who didn't? One of his favourite paint jobs was the simple one shown here with two gold pinstripes running around the perimeter of the helmet. The exact contour did change over time and Steve used a similar look on one of his car helmets. But it was nearly always the helmet he wore when racing in the desert. Pick up any McQueen book and, with the exception of the 1964 ISDT, if he's riding an off-road bike, he's probably wearing this helmet. Simple yet classic, it was painted by his close pal, Von Dutch. We've created a replica of that helmet. Now, we don't carry stocks of these helmets painted up, but we do have black helmets on our shelves. And if you want it painted up, we have a local helmet sprayer who will do the job for you. We have merely added the cost for this on to the price of the blank helmet. We make no extra profit from this. It's all part of the service! As these helmets are painted to order, please allow 14 days for delivery.Specification
