An adventure helmet is a style that sits somewhere between a touring helmet and a pure off-road helmet. It is designed to suit the requirements of adventure bike riders who may occasionally venture off the beaten track but who, most of the time, accrue their miles on metalled roads, so classically, an adventure helmet will have a slightly longer nose section that replicates the look of a pure off-road helmet. You will probably also get the option of a peak. And some come as standard with goggles that can replace the removable visor. But you will also get a traditional visor and all the usual creature comforts of a road helmet. In this way, a rider can have a helmet that can be used off-road if necessary, but which he can quickly convert it into a helmet that is quiet and waterproof for more normal use.
