CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

Online ordering was very good, as was post order communication. I can't actually think of anything to suggest as an improvement, so keep up the good work.

Product description

Minichamps has released a 1:12 diecast model of the #58 Honda RC212V which Marco Simoncelli rode during the 2011 Moto GP season. Marco Simoncelli’s death at the Malaysian Grand Prix was tragic. Of course, the death of any rider is a tragedy, especially for family and friends, but Marco will be much missed by the bike racing world for he was, without doubt, the most charismatic personality in the sport. Shortly after Marco’s death, Minichamps announced the 1:12 replica of his Gresini Honda RC212V. This might appear to be little more than a piece of commercial opportunism, but we can confirm that the model was being planned well before recent events. In fact, we were in discussion with Minichamps for this bike to be a very limited release, perhaps to be shared exclusively between Minichamps’ own shop in Aachen and Diecast Legends. However, the demand from importers and retailers around the world after Marco Simoncelli’s death put Minichamps under pressure to increase production, to meet the demand from his fans. Please note there is now no £5.00 premium for the packaging, as the standard price point for all 2011 1:12 race bikes is now £89.99.

I collect Rossi minichamps but i wanted supersic's honda to remember him by.I have to say the model is great although the front mudguard had a slight ammount of damage which was dissapointing. As for the packaging i actually liked it but it did need 58 on it,big epic fail that.Still,it sits well in my collection so overall im happy

Alot of hype for nothing,i love the minichamps bike's but massively let down on the package.I would rather have kept my £5 extra for the package and had it delivered in a plastic bag, cheeted!

I've been a collector of the Minichamps bike series for some time now, and have always been extremely satisfied with their products. This bike is another absolute beauty! It has a little something extra in that it is a commemorative piece representing a great rider both on and off the track. I plan on getting the rider as well and display it on my "Moto GP Bikes 90 degree curve". *My only gripe: the box could have had a better representation of Marco. **It’s a collectors edition.

Agree with most of the other comments - good model, so-called 'commemorative' packaging is poor. This has certainly made me reconsider other Minichamps purchases I was going to make.

Minichamps have cashed in on marco's death, commemorative packaging my arse. I have many minichamps models, this is the last one I buy

Neil

Very nice bike as I expected. However the packaging is such a let down considering I was led to believe the slightly higher price was due to the commemorative packaging. Such a shame!

Dan

I give marco"s bike a 5,but as for the false sale for a special addition pacaging was a con.where is the cert and number of limitation.i was a huge fan of simo.minichamps you have let him down big time. R.I.P simo.

TW

Very disappointed with the box that it came in,can't fault the bike though very good......R.I.P. Marco... You'll never be forgotten?

This is my last minichamps bike after years of collecting rossi bikes and figures all overpriced and far too expensive and simmos bike a big dissapointment !

westy

disappointed with packaging was looking forward to something special

Mine arrived today. Left feeling very deflated having opened the packaging. I was expecting a nice commemorative box like some of the other ones I have. Bike is as always from Minichamps very good in detail and finish though.

Fantastic bike but why do we pay over the price for every model we paid an extra 5 pounds for normal packaging amnd for it to say collecetion marco simoncelli its just bonkers

James Waterson

After the long wait, slightly disapointed, It was soposed to be a commemorate model to Marco hence the extra price, just the plane box plus bike, not worth the extra price, bike is good detail which you should expect. Slightly pis##d off at Dicast legends at the miss sealling of this and the cheek to charge the extra

Peter Cook

disappointed, waited such a long time, paid extra for commemorated packaging that was feeble. this was bought to be something special to remember marco.seems like it was just a cash in job in the end.

jean taylor

Great model but there was very little effort gone into to the commemorative packaging, which is why we had to pay a little extra for the model! As it is supposed to be a limited edition model a number might have been nice attached to the model with a certificate!!! Feel a bit let down as this was a model to remind us all of Marco!

vinny216

Very disappointing packaging and severeal quality problems with my example, decals not aligned, bodywork not fitting correctly. Sadly unimpressive after the wait. I had this on preorder for a year.

RC211V

as in a previous post, this bike was sold to me under the impression that it was to come in commerative packaging which it clearly is not, also a individual no as well, and it was sold with the over inflated price.i paid £95 for this,so where is the commerative package that we have paid good money for.

john

the bike is great, but there is NO commemmorative packaging, and a limited edition item should have an individual number

just for the fact that as a commerative box i thought it would have had a lot more to it , not even his no 58 on the box or the colours of his bike , should have been a lot more to it for the price and wait .

The Motolegends Lowest Price Guarantee

If you can find anything that we sell being offered for more than £5 less than our price, we’ll beat that price by a full 10%.

Let’s give you an example. Say we have a helmet on our website for £350. You find a competitor selling it for £300. Well, if you can prove it, we’ll sell it to you for £270.

It’s that simple, and we reckon it’s the best lowest price guarantee ever.

All you need to do is to provide proof of the lower price. That can be an eBay listing, a website page, or an advertisement in the press. The seller has got to be in the UK and, of course, the goods have to be brand new in the original packaging and so on. We won’t accept, as you might expect, camera phone pictures of an in-store price, or accounts of a conversation that was had with a sales person. The prices we’re beating have to be documented and traceable.

But really that’s it. Phone us with details of the dealer who is discounting. Or send us an email, and we’re in business. So now, there’s never any need to buy from anybody else.

Buy from Motolegends and you will enjoy the industry’s very best service, the very best, most technical and most stylish products. And now the very best prices too.

Oh, and just for good measure, we’ll honour this lowest price guarantee for a full 14 days from the date we despatch your goods to you. A no brainer? We reckon so!
