Moto Skiveez Adventure in black Product Information

Moto Skiveez are essentially cycle shorts specifically created for motorcycle riders. They are designed to help the rider spend longer in the saddle. They come in a number of configurations for different styles of bike, but this model, called the Adventure, has been created to work on any adventure bike, or indeed any type of sit-up bike from a genuine classic to a super-naked. The difference between the three styles produced by Moto Skiveez comes down to the type and positioning of the padding. Clearly, in this case the padding works where the upper body is vertical, the upper legs extend at 45 degrees before falling at an angle of 45 degrees to the pegs. As with all Moto Skiveez, the  surface fabric is infused with silver ions which are antibacterial. Inside there's 4mm perforated foam throughout. 6mm memory foam in the main body and 3mm perforated memory foam in the legs. There are corrugations in the padding to aid air flow and stop irritation.

Please note due to the nature of the item, they are non-refundable. Read our editorial; the importance of being properly layered.

Tom: Overpriced

Not convinced they provide any more comfort and support than a pair of budget cycling padded shorts and as a result feel they are overpriced

Ralph: Disappointed

Was impressed with the sales pitch. Initial impression wasnt that great. Decided to do a back to back test against a cheap pair of cycling shorts. Wore these outward on a 150 mile trip, then the cycling shorts to come back with. If there was a difference, then Id say the cycling shorts were better. Not worth the money.

Johan Denekamp: Moto skiveez

Just back from 1,800 miles in 7 days to Stelvio and back, 4 Swiss alpine passes per day, all non motorway and normally 10 hours a day in the saddle. Of course it was still hard going but epic! and these made a huge difference. Great product.

Marie Divers: Product review

Bought these for my husband and he loves them. Great product .One happy biker.

Nic Lester: Very handy for long trips, makes a difference.

Very useful for longer trips. Once on the bike hardly aware they are on. Off the bike is weirder of course. They are pretty expensive, but if used with normal pants and well looked after, one or two pairs should be ample.

John: Comfort

At the age of 72 i am getting bony arse syndrome i ride a Yamaha T7 the seat is narrow and puts pressure on the lower pelvic bones i am looking at a different seat but at £350 i tried these first. On a 300 mile ride to shepton Mallet and back i found the padding spread the load and drastically reduced lower back ache as well. overall well made and comfortable to wear it remains to be seen what they are like in hot weather.

Pat Sturman: Improves sore-bum syndrome

I am 71 yrs of age and now finding long trips a painful experience, despite having the seat of my FJR1300 recovered, including a gel insert, some years ago. Whether the seat no longer functions as it did or my bum is now less well padded Im not sure! Trying to avoid a very expensive Sargent or Corbin seat, which may or may not help, I tried some Skiveez. They do help! They do not magically make the problem disappear but definitely help. They seem to spread the load rather than it being concentrated on the lower pelvic bones.

Jok3r474: Comfort for your bum

Bought these a few weeks back ..on the advice of a friend who bought the Sport style for his Z1000sx he said they were more for the sports biker GSXR R1 ilk.. and not a touring style bike ..So I plumbed for the tourer style... 150 miles in and no inkling of a sore butt ...It does say on the instructions on the bag its advisable to wash them first on a gentle wash...No Conditioner!!!..something to do with softening up the padding...Dont leave home without them .. Ride safe ...

Mickr: Review of Skiveez shorts

I have been using cycle shorts and while they do help they are not designed for motorcycle seats. Decided to take a chance on the Skiveez and see if they were an improvement. I ride a Ktm which are not known for soft seats! The Skiveez are good for a couple of hours of riding for me before the numb bum kicks in. They are well made and have plenty of padding.

Matthew: Great investment

These undies are not cheap. However, they achieve what they set out to do. I can now ride in comfort all day where previously I could only manage about one hour even after the seat of my KLR 650 was replaced under warranty. Highly recommended. Usual exceptional service from Motolegends deserves a mention, they were delivered to me in Australia in less than a week despite COVID.

Nigel: Well worth it

I bought a pair of these for a long week riding and they made a huge difference to my comfort. If I'm ever going out for more than an hour I always wear them. The last two pairs I bought were presents for riding companions. Everyone is totally convinced by them.

Ian Collinge: Mr

I have only used the Skiveez for a short ride of about 80 miles, but they felt comfortable. Quality seems high. I look forward to a longer ride in the new year to give them a proper test.

Gordon Low: Mr

Long day in the saddle? these are an inexpensive way of helping your butt! nice bit of padding to cushion you when in light gear where leathers might have given you more support. These come up quite big, I am a 30/32 waist and the small would have been better than the medium I ordered based on the size chart. Gordon

Ian Cartwright: They work

For me these work. They give me about another hour of riding before the dreaded sore butt occurs and by that time I'm ready for coffee anyway. They make a 3/4 day trip much more bearable.

steve w: Product Review

Essential riding kit never ride without them. After 10 mins you forget there on. Top tip wear normally cotton under wear as well

Stan: Product Review

I bought a pair of these last year. They make a long ride easier on your body. I haven't got a lot of padding on my butt, but these make riding a long way much more comfortable. I wish I had found then a few years ago. I would have enjoyed touring much more than I sometimes did.

tim: Product Review

I Reserched long and hard for underwear that didn't leave me sore after a 12hr day in the saddle. So I decided on a pair of Skivvez. The 1st time I wore them they felt like I was wearing a nappy that needed changing, HOWEVER as soon as I sat on the bike all that changed, we went out for 300 mile ride and at no time did I get uncomfortable or even remember I had the Skivvez on, They are a bit strange to walk in but then I bought them for riding and so far so good, A bit pricey but I think on a long journey they will prove a good investment.
