Product InformationAs we all know, Steve had a great sense of style.
He operated very much on a 'less is more' basis. When acting, he wasn't a fan of unnecessary dialogue, and when he dressed, he kept things simple too.
In the Thomas Crown Affair, he played a very different kind of character to the ones he was used to playing, and the wardrobe department made sure that his suits looked the part.
But in the leisure sequences Steve was back in control, and was left to his own devices. And so in some of the beach scenes with the Corvair engined, Manx Meyer dune buggy, he wore a very distinctive Aran knit jumper.
In fact, in one scene where he and Faye Dunaway were getting to know one another around a beachside bonfire, they both wore almost identical jumpers.
Well, we've had that jumper copied by a mill in Scotland, and although we say it ourselves, it's pretty spot on.
The intricate cabling is nigh on perfect, and we spent more hours than is healthy watching the relevant parts of the film to make sure we got the subtle colouring just right.
The end result is a truly beautiful jumper. Made from a 100% Darwin lambswool, it's a piece you could wear just as well on a summer's evening as on a cold winter's night.
This is going to be your favourite new piece of knitwear; we reckon it's pretty special.
