Product Information

The Icon Squalborn jacket is Icon’s premier offering, where they try and go the extra mile in terms of style and performance. The Squalborn jacket is that rare combination of summer weight and full waterproofing. In fact, the jacket is made from a three-layer laminated fabric, meaning that even in heavy rain it should not wet out. Internally, the seams are all taped. The outer is protected with a Durable Water Repellent and, to make sure the zip is not the weak point, Icon has fitted a top-of-the-range AquaGuard waterproof zip. Inside you get a removable satin thermal liner, although we wouldn’t suggest that this is a jacket you would wear on anything but a nice day. The liner might take the chill off the early morning or evening, but if it’s really cold, you’ll need to layer up. The outer fabric is a hard-wearing Nylon Oxford and, for extra abrasion resistance, you get diamond quilted leather panels on the shoulders. There are waterproof zip closures on the sleeves, and popper adjusters at the waist. The jacket comes as standard with D3O armour in the elbows, shoulders and back. In the summer, we often get asked for a jacket that is lightweight, but totally waterproof. We’ve not always had a lot to offer, but we reckon the Icon Squalborn jacket hits the spot.

Matthew Clarkson: Perfect summer jacket

Great quality and fit. Air vents actually work! Lining is great for cooler mornings. In all, a perfect jacket for Australian summers.
