Product Information

We've been wanting to do this for a while, but now all the arrangements are in place, and we have a date. That date is Sunday 22nd September. We’re limiting the number of riders to a dozen. The idea is that we’ll all meet up at Motolegends between 9.00am and 10.00am. Fred and Dom from ‘Off the Kerb’ will then take us off road down some of Surrey’s loveliest green lanes. It’s all going to be pretty gentle; we’re not going to be doing anything too tricky or technical. However much off-roading you’ve done, though, you'll still find plenty to enjoy. We really do have some great tracks around here. But there’ll be nothing that a complete novice won’t be able to cope with. We’ll be riding for about two and a half hours before stopping off at our favourite Surrey Hills pub for lunch. It’s a terrific pub, but it’s so hidden away you’d never find it if you didn’t know where it was. We’re not going to tell you the name of the pub; it’s a bit of a hidden gem, and we don’t want too many people knowing about it! After lunch we’ll be riding for another couple of hours or so. We should all get back to Motolegends between 3.00pm and 4.00pm. Now the idea here is that you'll be riding your own bike. You don’t need anything fancy. Any adventure bike will do, as will any bike with the letters ‘GS’ in the title or the word ‘Scrambler’. A regular road bike probably won’t have enough suspension travel, however. And some kind of off-road tyre would be sensible. Whatever bike you bring along, you should be prepared to drop it and get it scratched. The day does not end with a ‘concours d’elegance’. Gear-wise you should wear strong, tall boots, preferably with a decent, chunky sole. You should also ride with a full-face helmet. A jacket with body armour, including a back protector, is also advisable. We’ll be issuing more detailed instructions nearer the time, but for now that’s about it. Like all our trips and ride outs, they’re not about making money; we just like to cover our costs. For this particular day, the cost is £30 a head. Lunch is not included in the price, so you can feast like a king or just have a diet coke and packet of crisps. That’s up to you. A dozen places is not a lot. We reckon the day could sell out pretty swiftly. So, if you want to join us, go to the website and purchase your place. The code is: (MSS19). It’s going to be a great day; we’re looking forward to it already! If you would like to know more about Off The Kerb, check them out at www.offthekerbtrailriding.com
