Product Information

The Harisson Corsair helmet is an open face helmet that takes its inspiration from pilot's jet fighter helmets. The shell is made of a 3D composite comprising of carbon fibre, fibreglass and Kevlar invulnerable areas. Inside, the helmet is trimmed with lambskin and Alcantara for comfort and all parts are sewn in rather than glued. There are fine gauze covered air vents, a flip up visor and a detachable face mask which can be removed and buttoned onto the back with a press stud strap and a traditional DD chin strap.

The only reason this does not get 5 stars is because the lining is fixed. Some people say it is noisy but I think they are comparing it to a full face lid. It looks cool as hell and it is very comfy. It is very much a summer helmet as it lets a nice breeze in and the rain will also get in but it’s not horrendous. I also purchased the optional external visor and this makes a great difference at motorway speeds. Overall, I love this helmet and recommend it, don’t however expect a full seal helmet. If you want an open face with a bit of bug protection and more style than you can shake a stick at, this is the helmet for you.

Very stylish and lightweight. It’s quite high quality too. I struggled to fit the chin guard though as the helmet lining was glued right to the edge of the shell. It should have stopped about a couple of centimetres short to allow the ends of the chin guard to tuck between the lining and the shell. Once I sorted that, it was a good fit with the drop down visor. I’m not sure it’s a good choice for anyone who wears glasses as they are difficult to push through and when riding over a bumpy surface my glasses jump off the bridge of my nose. Recommend for someone with perfect vision or contact lenses.
