Helstons Hunt Wax Cotton jacket in black Product Information

The Helstons Hunt jacket is a traditional, mid-length, wax cotton jacket fashioned in the mould of Belstaff's Crosby and McGee jackets. Like those jackets the Hunt is made from wax cotton supplied by British Millerain and has a check lining. In order to meet the CE standard for abrasion and puncture resistance, the wax cotton is backed with an aramid lining. The jacket features six external pockets and can be adjusted at the waist by means of two belt-loop straps. Whilst wax cotton is somewhat waterproof in its own right, the waterproofing on the Hunt comes courtesy of a fixed, waterproof membrane. The jacket is also equipped with an aluminium-lined, thermal gilet. As with all Helstons jackets, the Hunt comes fully equipped with CE armour. This includes the shoulders, elbows and back.

The chart is quite accurate, but you should be aware of the fact that with its thermal liner and heavy back protector in place, the jacket is going to feel quite tight when you first put it on. Over time the leather will give, and the jacket will become more comfortable. If you order one size larger than you would normally, the jacket may well feel a little more comfortable when you initially put it on. But if you were then to remove the thermal liner and back protector for summer riding, it might well then feel too large.
