Slug vest in black (ML001)
Product InformationAt every possible opportunity we try and round remind our customers and potential customers that even the most expensive, Gore-Tex lined jackets won't keep you completely dry. Under pressure, a membrane will eventually allow water to pass through it. Zips, pockets, vents and so on are all weak points, but by far the largest problem is the neck hole. Water will run down the helmet and into the neck of the jacket, and in heavy rain the water will start to run down the jacket until it pools in the crotch area. So, you take jacket off and your shirt is as wet as your trousers. Well, a customer of ours has come up with a simple solution that is as clever as it is ugly. Basically, it's a round-the-neck style bib, much like the one kids have when they're being fed. But in this instance it absorbs the rain in its highly absorbent front. The water is held here because there is a plastic backing that keeps it from going anywhere. Its simple, its effective, and at just £19.99, its relatively cheap. It just isn't very attractive. Hence the name!
