The outer is made from a windproof material; it also has a waterproof coating. The jacket is going to be incredibly insulating, but the beauty is that, worn beneath a motorcycle jacket, it takes up almost no room. It is also easy to carry when it’s not being worn; in fact, the Maverick actually folds up into its own pocket.
The other benefit of a down jacket, of course, is that off the bike it can just be worn as a kind of casual winter top. It seems appropriate that Klim should have a jacket like this in its range because, in most cases, Klim jackets do not come with a thermal layer. The Maverick is therefore going to be the perfect mid-layer for just about any Klim outer jacket, although it will work just as well under any motorcycle jacket.

As a Layering System advocate, the addition of the Klim Maverick jacket to my motorcycling wardrobe has been brilliant. If I get cold now, I know I should be in the car with snow chains and the heater on!!

Fortunately for me i discovered Motolegends fairly early on into my love affair with motorbikes, I only like spending once and have now collected the Klim layering system. The Maverick jacket was the last piece, I have to save its a case of leaving the best to the last! The fact that its goose down makes it warmer than duck down I used to sell continental quilts so i know my fillings its weight to warmth ratio is brilliant. Ive use it a few times on the bike with the Klim Zephyr and Marrakesh jacket with the Scott waterproof and Ive never been so warm and comfortable. I cant rate this combination highly enough. Once again great service from Motolegends.

Really pleased with this jacket. Super warm nicely detailed an looks great aswell. Would thoroughly recommend this jacket. Also the reflective strips down the front zip works well.
