Klim makes amazing gear, but writing about it is a pain in the neck, because there’s always so much bloody detail to talk about. And the Nac Pak is a case in point. It’s a complete monster! Let’s get into it.

With a total carrying capacity of around 13 litres, it is what one might term a medium-sized backpack. It’s made from a heavy-duty Nylon. In total you get some three main compartments, and a number of other pockets and holders; and that’s more than enough to ensure that you will never be able to find anything when you need it. There’s a compartment that will take something like a 15” laptop. The main compartment contains a 3-litre drinks bladder. But as the compartment is expandable, it’ll take a lot more than that. There’s a second compartment attached to the main one, and a third one designed to take a pair of goggles. There are another two attached to the harness. You also get a removable wallet that is meant to be used as a tool kit.

Like Kriega’s rucksacks, the Nak Pak has a full harness arrangement rather than just a set of shoulder straps. In fact, the Klim uses exactly the same buckle arrangement as the Kriega. The body-side of the backpack is heavily padded for comfort.
