Held Nashville 2 boots in brown Product Information
The Nashville 2 is a short cruiser boot, a boot that very much has the Harley or Indian rider in mind. It’s about as tough and strong as a motorcycle boot can get. You get a toe box that, although not made of steel, is pretty darned hard. You also get ankle protectors and a re-inforced heel. Whilst the leather itself seems equally designed for longevity. You also get a commando-style rubber sole that is going to grip in even the slipperiest of conditions.
Not that all this means that the boot is not comfortable, because it is. And indeed the interior of the boot is fully lined to this end. The Nashville is going to be particularly easy to get on and off. And that is partly because the boot is not waterproof. This means that there is no gusset when you unzip the side zip, so it will open more widely, making ingress and egress more rapid. The tongue of the boot is also attached to the shaft with bands of elastic. The bottom line is that this will be a boot that you could happily wear all day. That having been said, it is not the lightest boot on the market.
Of course, the absence of a membrane means that this is not a waterproof boot. But this is not really the kind of boot that you would normally expect to wear in the rain. Of course, the leather is thick, so you are not going to get wet feet the moment the heavens open, but it would be true to suggest that, in prolonged rain, there are more appropriate options.
This is a boot for for fine days, for days where you are not expecting to get either you or the bike wet. If it rains, then you may get wet, but this is the kind of boot you’ll probably be wearing inside jeans or leather pants. And so, if it rains, you’ll have problems there too! So be it.
The Nashville is super solid. With a zip instead of laces it will easy to live with. In the heat, it will breathe well. If it rains…….
