Belstaff Trialmaster 6oz wax cotton jacket in black (BEL1060)

Product InformationThis is the jacket, for the last five years or so we've been asking Belstaff to make. Every year they say yes, yes, yes; but then nothing happens. But for 2018 it's eventually here.
Basically it is a lightweight Trialmaster. Now we love the current Trialmaster. It's a heck of a jacket, a direct descendant of the jackets worn by Charley and Ewan when they went around the world. It's harder and stronger than any wax cotton jacket we've ever come across.
This new-for-2018 Trialmaster 6oz is a whole different kettle of fish. For a start, it's made from six ounce waxed cotton. Pick it up and it weighs half what the original Trialmaster does. But you still get a proper motorcycle jacket in every respect. You get a full Miporex waterproof and wind proof membrane, and D3O armour in the elbows and shoulder, but it is so much easier to wear. Honestly you could pop into town to do some shopping in it and you wouldn't think twice. The Trialmaster 6oz jacket is also known as the Belstaff Sheene.
The lightness is helped by the fact that the jacket doesn't have any separate thermal lining but this has never bothered us as we are true disciples of layering. We think this new jacket is a very welcome new addition to the Belstaff range. It won't replace the standard Trialmaster.
For some, especially those who commute or ride all year round, the original will be still the one to have. But if you are a more fair-weather rider, wanting a wax cotton jacket that you can wear throughout the summer months or on an overseas trip you might want to take a look at the Trialmaster 6oz.

I have done business with you, a number of times, to my utmost satisfaction! Now I wonder about size of the 6 oz belstaff waxed jacket. I am 193 cm tall, weigh in at 124 Kg. - so I wonder if a 4XL will be large enoug, especially when i plan to wear a cream U-Boat tall neck sweater under the jacket? I definitely dont like very tight fitting cloathes...
