Product Information

The Forsair from Rukka is a breathable technical touring jacket with an abrasion resistant outer and the usual reinforcements. The knitted Cordura AFT and AFT Plus with two layer reinforcements on the elbows supply the abrasion resistance, while the Rukka D3O Air limb protectors bring the impact resistance. There is a pocket on the inside back of the jacket to add a separately sold Rukka D3O Air All Back or Full Back, back protector.

Unlike most other garments from Rukka, the Forsair does not come with a Gore-Tex membrane or liner. It has been designed specifically for keeping you cool when riding in hot, dry weather and it certainly lives up to those expectations. Adjustable upper arms, cuffs and hem make the Rukka Forsair jacket feel tailor-made. The forsair jacket also features five pockets, plus a connecting zip and reflective prints for safety.

Martin Wilson: Rukka Forsair

Cool in every sense - worth the money. I transferred my D30 back protector from my other Rukka jacket while using the Forsair. Only criticism is name 'Force-Air' - geddit?

Bon zo: Summer Delight

3 stars is a bit mean. 3.5 stars would be better. First the good. Its Rukka. Quality is in another league to most garments in my opinion. The material is so good at venting, that on a hot summer day, it feels like your riding around in just your t-shirt (or whatever your wearing underneath) but secure in the knowledge that both the Cordura material and the excellent armour will save you in the event of a spill. It looks great. The slightly less than good. Its right what Motolegends wrote when the new Forsair jacket came out to replace this one. The fit is a little strange on this Mk1. A little stiff and boxy, almost lacking form. Feels a bit awkward and I have no reason to believe it will ever 'bed in' due to the nature of the material - but I could be wrong. I don't wear it enough to bed it in. I live in the UK and so can only realistically use it a couple of times a year. But the most annoying thing for me is the stubborn collar. It's really stiff and just seems to irritate my neck and stick in my Adams apple when its done up. At the end of the day, I got it at the reduced price and it is a joy to wear something so cool yet protective on those hot summer rides. Limited use (in the UK), but a delight when conditions are right.
