Arai helmets are, unquestionably, amongst the best motorcycle helmets money can buy.  Arai have made helmets for some of the most famous names in bike racing. The company has been making motorcycle helmets since 1926 and bring huge amounts of experience and expertise to all the helmet models they make. All Arai helmets are hand made by experienced helmet technicians in their own factory in Japan.

Arai probably make the safest helmets. Their absolute focus is safety. They will not compromise by adding internal visors or integrated comms.

In terms of Arai full face helmets we offer the Arai Quantic and the Arai Concept-XE (originally called the Arai Rapide).

Since Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman set of around the world, Arai adventure helmets have been the choice of many a world motorbike tourer. Now they have launched the ground breaking Arai Tour-X5 which is the first of the big two to be ECE 22-06.

Arai helmets may be good, and are worth the money, but they are not quiet. For Arai, that is not a priority. Few would question the assertion that Arai makes the best quality and safest helmets on the market. They are beautifully put together by hand in Arai's own factory in Japan, using only the highest grade materials and components, by skilled workers. Each helmet takes 18 man-hours to make and will be quality checked five times during the manufacturing process. The final products are tested in house to a higher standard that other helmets.

Arai helmets come in sizes from XS to XL. The size relates to the circumference of your head in centimetres. XS is 53-54cm, S is 55-56cm, M is 57-58cm, L is 59-60cm and XL is 61-62cm. But shape is also important in ensuring a good fit.

Arai was the pioneer in developing helmets that can withstand oblique-angled impacts, reducing the rotational forces that can cause irreparable damage to the brain. It is because of this that Arai has such round shells and tend to be a little larger and heavier than other brands.

Arai Tour-X4 helmet in frost black

Graham: Quality helmet

As you would expect a top quality helmet. The finish, fittings and lining all make you feel it has been hand crafted. The fit of the helmet surprised me as I wasnt too sure if it would be right for me, I usually suit Shoei helmets. I was very pleased to find it was a great fit and very comfortable. I usually wear a size small and this size fitted fine in the Arai. The helmet feels a bit heavy when first picked up but to be honest you dont really notice it once you are wearing it. On the bike I found the helmet to be comfortable and fairly quiet, certainly no noisier than other makes of adventure helmet. The peak seems fine so far and doesnt catch the wind too much also no problems with noise or vibration. I havent found any problem with side winds or when doing looks over the shoulder. The helmet has been used on a Tenere 700 and a CRF300L. Venting is very good but this also means it can be a bit chilly in the colder weather. You will want to wear a wind proof neck tube that can be pulled up over your chin. Great helmet at a bargain price as I got it in a Motolegends Sunday sale.

Arai Concept-XE/Quantic VAS-V Max Vision visor dark tint

Kyle: Great

Fantastic visor and great customer service. Was dubious as to whether the price match plus 10 would work. After contacting the company for the visor and the helmet, true to their word they price matched and took the extra 10 off. Also great you can escalate any emails to Christopher Paul if needed who is responsive. Will use motolegends for anything needed in future.

Arai Quantic Face helmet in yellow

MarkABZ: Arai Quantic helmet

Having used flip-up helmets for years, I had considered the Shoei Neotec 2 for my next one. After reading the safety reviews, it only received a 70 rating for the latch mechanism, which was lower than the previous Shoei I before. Anyway, I tried on a few alternatives locally, and settled in the Arai Quantic, and Im really pleased I did, as the fit, comfort and quality are sot on. Im getting more used to the visor latch with time, but overall excellent buy. It was delivered to my door within 48 hours, and Im 560 miles away, so couldnt ask for more than that.
