Pando Moto Mila ladies cargo pant in beige Product Information

Pando is a manufacturer that hails from Lithuania. Some of their gear is a bit aggressive and hard-edged for us. But we do like some of the pieces that come out of the brand. And the Mila cargo pant is one of them.

A lot of ladies' motorcycle wear simply doesn't work on the bike. Rarely are women involved in the design of ladies' motorcycle wear. And all too often it seems to be an afterthought; put together after the men's collection has been put to bed, and often derived from those pieces.

But a women's motorcycle pant, for example, is a very different beast to a men's motorcycle pant. There are more curves involved; and a jean for women needs to have a higher rise if certain areas are not to be unnecessarily revealed.

The Mila is a single-layer pant made from a 12-ounce Cordura infused with stretch for comfort. This is not what you would call a high-tech composition, but it still imbues the Milas with an AA rating under EN17092. The jeans come supplied with hip and knee armour. The hip armour fits in the usual manner. The knee armour is actually accessed through an external pocket with a concealed zip, which means that it can easily be removed when you're off the bike. The armour is adjustable within a two-position pocket. But what will help ensure that the armour is correctly positioned is that the Mila pants come in no less than three different leg lengths. And frankly, in a ladies' pant at this price point, that is quite remarkable. We applaud Pando for its efforts in this regard.

At the front of the pant you get standard jean pockets. One of the back pockets has a zip closure. And, of course, you get two cargo pockets fastened with black snaps.

But the main appeal of the Mila is the way they fit. If you have a stick insect shape, with no hips, you might be better off with a mid-rise motorcycle jean, or conceivably even a low-rise one, but if you are a little more shapely then it's a pant like this that is going to work for you.

At £249, they are not inexpensive, although they are certainly less expensive than some. But we cannot see a problem with these cargo pants. They're comfortable. They look great. They fit well. They are protective. And what will appeal to some; they don't even look like a protective, motorcycle pant at all.
