Rokker Motorcycle Boots
First and foremost Rokker is a jean and denim company. Rokker is rightly famous for their single layer motorcycle jeans and their riding shirts. But Rokker’s obsession with quality is very much carried over to its boot offering. We are particular fans of Rokker Urban Racer boots. They don’t just look the part; they're are also incredibly well constructed, and make use of only the very best materials. They are a solid as any short boot we’ve come across. The leather is thick, and the shank in the sole is amazingly strong. The boots are waterproof treated, but do not have a membrane, so are likely to be easy to wear in the summer months.

Rokker Urban Rebel boots in brown
Theyve now done 2000+ miles of riding + walking about between in my Rebels. Mine are now extremely comfortable and the sole is still holding out surprisingly well. They only took a few weeks to fully wear-in to the point I dont notice them, on my feet. I do condition and wax the leather twice a year and this has helped soften up the leather and kept things waterproof. I found mine true to size, Im normally a 10.5 and found the 45s perfect even with some thick socks. The only possible downside to these boots is they are lace only so no quick zips etc, but I think laces actually suites the boots better and anything else would distract from the simple yet elegant styling. My brown boots did mark at first, but now sport a beautiful patina with reds and browns in the leather making the adventures Im had in them. If you have a classic bike and want a classic look, just get over the price and buy them, you wont regret it. Looked after they will last ages.

I havent worn these on the bike yet, but I have been living in them for the past several weeks. My aim has been to find office friendly gear that I can wear all day, and not feel out of place. These Rokker boots are excellent. As with any leather boot, I had to get them worn in, and this took a week or so to do. Now though they are all day, go hiking comfortable. If I was to take a particularly long walk, Id go for a thick sock inside, I am aware that the foot is stiffer than a regular boot, but these are supremely comfortable. I dont ride in the worst of the winter, so my on bike time has been just a few minutes, to make sure I have the right forward and back motion for gears and brake, which I do. Sizing is good, maybe on the slightly generous side, so you can take a thick sock when wanted. I find I need to undo the laces, even with the side zip. I do have a high instep though, so this is not a surprise to me. Getting them in a weekend sale was an absolute bargain, and Ill be tempted to get a second pair.
Rokker Urban Racer boots in black / brown
I do not like waterproof linings!! I was in the military and goretex always turned your boots into plastic bags once the water got inside which it always will. it is so hard to fin non membrane boots, so I raided the kids inheritance for the Rokkers. They do need wearing in! I wore on a 5km dog walk, not good! last 2 k I was barefoot, just take your time. 2 days later I took them on a 1500mile ride to Scotland, weather on the first day was horrendous, horizontal rain through glencoe but boots didnt leak at all but you do need waterproofs with stirrups, I have no idea why they mostly dont. the boots got pounded for 4 days, they now look and feel fantastic, im still not walking 5km in them! but it wont be long.
