Summer Motorcycle Gloves

Summer motorcycle gloves have no waterproof membrane, are unlined, and are lightweight and breathable to be comfortable to wear in the warmest weather. However, you can still have a summer biking glove that is protective. They can be leather or textile, with or without perforations, sometimes with extra panels of protection on the palm, the wrist and so on.

We sell summer motorcycle gloves from the very best brands in the business. There are a few lovely but quite expensive Klim gloves, some very popular Rukka gloves, a few very protective and good value Halvarssons gloves and some Held gloves that come in short fingered.

As well as a summer motorcycle glove, you will probably need a summer waterproof glove and also a winter glove to cover all year round riding.

What are the best summer motorcycle gloves?

For the summer, you need a motorcycle glove that is comfortable and breathes well in hot weather. So definitely a glove without a waterproof membrane, perhaps with ventilated panels or mesh inserts.

Can I wear leather gloves on a motorcycle in the summer?

Of course you can wear leather motorcycle gloves in the summer. Some bikers will never wear anything apart from leather, but modern textile gloves can be equally protective and, in the summer, can be better ventilated.

Paul from Devon: Great summer gloves

Solid piece of kit. Well-made and well-designed. The leather softens pretty quickly and I treat them with Goldtops leather balm which keeps them supple. First class service, as usual

Ren: Better than Klim

I needed a pair of summer gloves to use for two days a year in Scotland... and for my Austria trip in June 26. I had a two-year-old pair of Klim Adventure GTX, as I had wanted something waterproof as well as for summer use well, most of my biking is at home. However, they were expensive, and well looked after, but after one short season they looked worse than my 10yrs old BMW 2 in 1 gloves. So, rather disappointed, I gave the Klim gloves to my son as spares and purchased the Held Sambia during one of Motolegends sale offers. I could not comment on the new gloves till now, as it has been a warm and waterproof glove requirement up till recent days. Now I have had the opportunity to wear them on my bikes and have to say they are great. One slight niggle is that there must be a small seam that lands between my right thumb and the first finger, as the feel is not 100. However, I dont yet have grip puppies on the GS, as I have fitted them to all my post 2005 BMWs, so I am quite confident that an increase to grip diameter will deal with the niggle. These Held gloves are good value for money... and even better VFM if you can catch them in a sale weekend.

Good looking and comfortable glove. I feel good wearing them! Definitely a summer glove though.
