Summer Motorcycle Gloves

Summer motorcycle gloves have no waterproof membrane, are unlined, and are lightweight and breathable to be comfortable to wear in the warmest weather. However, you can still have a summer biking glove that is protective. They can be leather or textile, with or without perforations, sometimes with extra panels of protection on the palm, the wrist and so on.

We sell summer motorcycle gloves from the very best brands in the business. There are a few lovely but quite expensive Klim gloves, some very popular Rukka gloves, a few very protective and good value Halvarssons gloves and some Held gloves that come in short fingered.

As well as a summer motorcycle glove, you will probably need a summer waterproof glove and also a winter glove to cover all year round riding.

What are the best summer motorcycle gloves?

For the summer, you need a motorcycle glove that is comfortable and breathes well in hot weather. So definitely a glove without a waterproof membrane, perhaps with ventilated panels or mesh inserts.

Can I wear leather gloves on a motorcycle in the summer?

Of course you can wear leather motorcycle gloves in the summer. Some bikers will never wear anything apart from leather, but modern textile gloves can be equally protective and, in the summer, can be better ventilated.

Held Desert II gloves in black

ColdDarkNorth: Desert ll

Great fit and design. Wore them on a hot trip straight out of the pack. No wearing in and very good at getting it flow to the hands. Great summer gloves.

Brian Sansom Police Summer gloves in brown

Simon: Tough summer gloves

I wanted a pair of brown summer gloves and having owned one of Brians suits I was keen to try his gloves. These police gloves are definitely at the more robust end of the scale, the leather is appreciably thicker than any of my other gloves. They were a little stiff at first, but theyre well broken in within 500 miles or so of riding and are now very comfortable. The gloves look great and the quality of construction is spot on. Im confident theyd do their job in the event of a spill. For comparison, I also have a pair of Held summer gloves in black - they flow more air but dont feel anywhere near as substantial as these BKS gloves. Very happy with my purchase.

Klim Induction gloves in black

Justin: Eye wateringly expensive best summer gloves yet.

I have fortunately not thrown my bike down the road wearing these gloves. However, if I did they would be very comfortable until I hit the tarmac, they would appear to be well made and well designed. They have a handy loop on the inside of the wrist to pull the gloves on. Lots of padding and armour which I hope would offer protection. Lots of small holes in the leather for ventilation. Comfortable from the first try on and even more so after a few miles. A lot of summer gloves look and feel like gardening gloves, these gloves dont. You get what you pay for .
