Summer Waterproof Motorcycle Gloves

A summer-waterproof motorcycle glove will have a membrane, but no insulation. Such a glove will keep the motorcyclist's hands dry in the rain, but will also be warmer to ride in than summer gloves because the waterproof membrane will also serve to combat the effects of wind chill. A summer-waterproof biking glove is the most common style of motorcycle glove, and some people will be able to get away with this as their only glove. A summer-waterproof glove is usually wearable from, say, the beginning of April to the end of September. But this is also down to the weather, and how the rider perceives temperature. On the very warmest days, you will be more comfortable, in a pure summer motorcycle glove. You wouldn't wear a summer-waterproof glove on the very coldest days, you probably need a winter motorcycle glove at that stage, but with heated grips some people do ride with them into the winter months.

We stock a wide range of summer waterproof gloves from the best biking brands. We have some particularly well priced and well specified Goretex Richa gloves, the every popular Rukka gloves, many very good quality Held gloves and plenty more.

Brian Sansom Police Summer Waterproof gloves in black

Lorenzo Giordanelli: Craftsmanship, Protection, Passion Love at First Ride

I received the new Brian Sansom Police Summer Waterproof gloves today and, naturally, took them straight out for a 150-mile introduction. Not that I needed much convincing. As the very happy owner of two pairs of Brian Sansom Police Summer gloves already one black, one brown, the second Chriss review of the waterproof version landed, I bought them immediately. No hesitation, no internal debate, no pretending to be sensible. And yes they are gorgeous. Completely, unnecessarily, gloriously gorgeous. As beautiful as the short non-waterproof version. Protection feels seriously solid. They will need a bit of breaking in, as proper leather gloves should. And yes, because they are leather, even with a laminated membrane, a bit of wetting out is part of the game. But in return you clearly get more weather protection, more wind resistance, a touch more insulation, and that lovely long cuff, which makes everything feel that bit more serious and substantial. But really, what deserves saying out loud is this craftsmanship of this quality is rare. These gloves dont just look good they radiate care, skill, seriousness and passion. You can see it immediately. For context, I own 29 pairs of premium motorcycle gloves 12 from FIVE, plus Held, Richa, Rukka, a couple of Dainese, and others. I am not exactly short of comparison material. And yet, my Brian Sansom Police Summer gloves remain the ones I love the most. They genuinely make me smile every time I look at them. And now I have the waterproof long version too. Wow!! Long live Brian Sansom. And hats off to Motolegends for bringing them to us as an exclusive. Cheers from the truest Italian Motolegends fan in Madrid, Spain

Held Air n Dry II GTX gloves in black

Mark H: Brilliant for Touring

This is my second pair of these gloves as the first pair were starting to get a bit tatty after many years of multiple use. They are a fabulous glove in so many ways, especially for touring You can use the warmer waterproof side on a chilli morning and then switch to the cooler breezy side as the day warms up. Also great that they now have touch finger phone use as the earlier ones i had didnt have this feature. These are pretty much my go to glove for all occasions. Great service from Motolegends as always and Chriss review is pretty much spot on.
