It can be quite exposed and therefore prone to be a place where rain can get in or a fly can hit you and really, really hurt. It is also the case that some people find the collars of a motorbike jacket can be quite firm and stiff and so something soft against your skin beneath helps to make you more comfortable when riding. Halvarssons Neck Warmer in black
This is probably one of the best bang-for-the-buck accessories that Ive bought. A recent Scottish tour was very cold and wet. The Halvarssons neck warmer kept my neck toasty and dry and not a drop of rain ran down into my jacket. I have a fairly large neck around 18 inches and the neck warmer is snug but not overly tight. The added comfort is well worth £20 of anyones money if you ride in all weathers.

I have tried numerous neck warmers, and this is the best. It is wind-resistant in bitter winter conditions yet comfortable in the heat. It has proven outstanding from deep winter to what passes for a British heatwave. It also feels lovely next to the skin. Price is the only downside. But you get what you pay for. Durability and longevity are superb. Klim makes this neck warmer in several colours, so I hope Motolegends will sell us more than the pink version.
