Halvarssons Rogen jeans in blue Product Information

Halvarssons has never been much of a jeans brand, until now. But with the Rogen jean the Swedish company might just have cracked their motorcycle jeans offering. The jean is single-layer, woven from aramid fibres with cotton and Elastane. Now aramid fibres don’t usually make for very lightweight jeans, but Halvarssons has somehow made it work. The Rogens are lightweight and easy to wear. There are lighter jeans out there, but nobody is going to have a problem with the Rogens. You could wear them all day.

The fit is a bit more Halvarssons than Rokker or PMJ. It is relaxed, but not what we would call baggy, although such considerations are obviously in the eye of the beholder.

The jeans come fitted with soft and flexible armour; not D3O Ghost soft, but so much nicer than the armour Halvarssons used to put in their jeans. The armour is Level 2 and is very adjustable. The jeans come with a zip sewn into the waistband, to enable you to zip into any Halvarssons, or Rukka, jacket.

Impressively, especially when you take the price into account, the jeans are accredited AAA under EN17092.

There is only one respect in which the jeans disappoint. They come in only two leg lengths. But the issue is that the longer leg is a not-very-long 31”. The shorter leg is a very short 29”. And this despite the fact that the two most popular lengths in this market are 32” and 34”. The problem is that a motorcycle jean needs to be some 2” longer than a street jean, so if your inside leg is much longer than 30” you may have a problem. If you have 27” leg length, the only problem you might have is finding a motorcycle!

Pete: Sizing comes up large

Bought these in a 32in waist from the Sunday Sale at a very good price but unfortunately the sizing was way too large and I returned them, hence 4 stars. The quality of the jeans was excellent. I sent them back for a refund which I received. Thanks Motolegends.

Tim S: Love these!

Absolutely the best riding jeans Ive had. Very comfortable and fantastic that they have the jacket connection zip built in. Ive had a couple of pairs of Rokker jeans in the past with the Halvarsons waist zip thing which is okay but never seems to be in exactly the right place and is seldom comfortable. These are perfect if you have a jacket compatible with the zip. I will never go back to the Rokkers now I have these.

Mike: Very comfortable, excellent value

Very comfortable jeans - just like wearing normal trousers. Incredible protection rating for the money. Usual Halvarssons excellent quality and zip to jackets. The standard armour is even flexible.

Mike: Great jeans

Was looking for new jeans but everything I tried was either way long on the leg or too slim fit to even get on. Saw these in the video, tried them, spot on fit and waist size true to my normal. Wore them on a Spain trip, very comfy, surprisingly warm. The only negatives, not remotely showerproof no surprise and my jackets dont fit to the waist zip.

Robin Dempster: Excellent jeans

Bought these in the short leg and was unsure if I had done the right thing but knew I would have no problem returning them due to the excellent returns policy. Happy to say they were perfect for my 29 inside leg and work well even with the short Falco boots. The jeans are excellent quality as you would expect from anything with the Halvarssons name and are very comfortable to wear with a good amount of stretch. Due to the stretch however they either need a belt, braces or zipped to a jacket or they will end up working their way down. Very happy with the purchase and they feel a lot lighter and nicer than the kevlar multi layered jeans I had before.

Mark B: Comes up as 32 inch

These fit me perfectly. I take a 32 inch 36 waist Street Jean and these fit as well, if not better. Jeans reach right down over my Daytona boots when sat on the bike too. Knee armour sits in the right place. Zip top great addition and can do away with the previous belt add on, when fixing to my jackets. All for under £200!!
