Rokker Cargo Slim in black Product Information

The Rokker Cargo Slim (sometimes known as the Rokker Black Jack Slim) is, first and foremost, a styling exercise. It is very much based on the company’s Chino pant. Like their Chino, it is a single-layer pant made from 14 ounce Dynatec. This material is amazingly strong, and delivers a slide time of just under 6.2 seconds, which makes it around 50% more abrasion resistant than leather. But instead of the Chino’s classic straight-leg cut, the Cargo Slim has a much slimmer profile, with a heavy taper from the knee down to the ankle. This fit does mean that only a short, ankle boot will fit inside the leg of the trouser. A taller boot won’t although, with such a calf-hugging fit, you could wear a boot on the outside of the pant. And this is what we think Rokker had in mind when they produced this trouser. Although you can wear these Cargos on any bike, we believe it has been designed for ‘Scrambler’ riders and for those who prefer the off-road aesthetic, so that they can wear some kind of off-road boot over the pant. As a cargo-style pant, they also of course have pockets on the leg. Like the Chinos, they have a Nanosphere waterproofing treatment to the fabric. They also have a Coldblack coating to deflect the heat of the sun’s UV rays. Now even though the Rokker Cargo Slim is made from the same fabric as their Chino, the Cargo Slim is some 20% lighter, and that comes down to the fact that the cargo pants have no mesh lining, a much simpler armour pocket and lighter armour. In fact, these pants are designed to take the latest, super-thin Ghost D30 Armour and come supplied with knee armour as standard. It is amazing stuff. It moulds comfortably around the knee, but it’s flat so, when you’re off the bike, you hardly know it’s there. The armour pocket that takes the knee armour is also adjustable. Now fixed armour pockets have always been a weakness on Rokker jeans, but a combination of Ghost protectors and adjustable pockets means that getting the armour right is no longer an issue.

As a small company, Rokker initially had all of its products certified only to the A level under EN 17092, in order to make them legally saleable. Over time, Rokker will test to a higher level. When the Cargo Light went into production, it was only A certified, but Motolegends has now been supplied with the SATRA test report that confirms that they have passed at the AA level. The first stock, therefore, has a single A label inside, but when the same pant was reproduced it came with a AA label. Some of this last stock therefore has an A label and some a AA label but is all made to the same higher standard and will all come with both knee and hip armour.

Owen: Good fit

Bought these in the recent sunday sale. Concerned they might be too tight but they are actually a good fit and keeps the armour in the right place unlike other cargos from other brands. . Ideal for the cooler days will have to wait to see how the fair in the warmer months

David j W Stewart: ROKKER tops again.

These are typically ROKKER - stylish, well made, great fit - I had no problem getting them over my feet! Getting these at SALE price is an easy decision. Back up service is First Class as usual.

Hans: Kept me dry so far

Got them for their water resistance and theyve kept me dry in showers and light rain so far. So much I also use them for walking the dog in the rain. Seems high quality as expected and I like the fit. Quite sturdy though so will not be my first choice on a sunny day. I am normally W32 or 33 and already have different Rokker jean in W32 that are too tight so I figured W33 would be perfect but they are actually a bit too loose. Annoying a premium brand like Rokker is not consistent in their sizes across the range.

Pete: Better than all the rest.

Ive been wearing black cargo jeans from various manufacturers since Draggin first sold them at the end of the last century. Always hd a price limit which was below the price of Rokker. But these came up in the sale so they were bought. Yes much better than any of the others, Better armour, strangely better fit, Nicer to wear off the bike and once the knee armour is removed which is easy they look like fashion cargo pants.

Ally D: Best jeans I own

I was a little sceptical of all the hype around Rokker and their jeans. I have about 6 pairs of jeans in different styles. Some older with Kevlar liner to up to date jeans from Dainese and PMJ. I like to ride in jeans as they feel much nicer than textiles although there is always a place for my textile suits and they are still my go to gear for changeable or wet biking days and touring. Anyway, back to the Rokkers. They are worth the money. Superb cut, really nice looking, lovely material, ghost pads are sleek and can easily be left in place off the bike. Comfy on and off the bike. Nice detail like rubberized button tops and leather Rokker tab. Ive even used them when walking the dog. Bit thicker than standard denim but reassuring and slide times seem good but hope I never need to try it for real. I think they are the best motorcycle jeans I own and thats saying something considering my biking wardrobe. Everyone should at least try a pair if in the market for a nice pair of protective jeans. Usual high standard of PP from Motorlegends.

Matt: Very pleased with these

I took a bit of a punt mail-ordering these. The video review emphasises how slim they are at the lower leg. I wouldnt say I had skinny calves so was delighted they fit so well. Yes, more skinny than my Belstaff jeans but I can easily get them off over size 11 feet with high insteps. Not suffered the issue Chris details in the video. They come up more roomy than Belstaff jeans round the waist but about same as Levis. I can see these becoming a favourite. Really pleased with them. Lastly, they are the least armoured looking bike trousers I have. You could wear these, D30 Ghost in, and no one would know theyre bike wear.

Andrew: Brilliant...

Liked the idea of the chinos but wanted something a little less formal. Was slightly nervous that they might be too slim fitting, but they actually fit really well without being too tight. All day comfortable, kept me dry until the rain got so heavy that I felt moved to stop and put on waterproofs, and dont flow too much air. Theyve become my favourite riding trousers - even better than my Rokkertechs.
