Halvarssons Idre jacket in black
I had no need of a leather jacket, but I took a punt given the positive reviews and the fact it was on sale. So glad I did. Slipping it on took me back to buying my first leather jacket as a teenager. Its a flattering fit too, even with my paunch. Its warm, of course, and a little bit more restrictive than my Rukka Air Karvik but my word it made me feel good. I replaced the armour with a set of Diablo Level 2 pads I had lying around using a wide strip of genuine Velcro that I cut into squares the same size as Halvarssons use. All four stuck like you-know-what to an army blanket and while reaching in and getting the new pads into the right position was a bit of a faff, it only took ten minutes in all. The result is an even more comfortable jacket, albeit with a slightly less 1980s-profile to the shoulders.
Halvarssons Mora jacket in black / green
I bought this to replace my worn out BMW Rallye Jacket. I find the fit very good, but had to up size to a 54, so Halvarssons sizing seems a bit on the small size. The quality is very good, but I think that the cuffs could be a better design as tightening them up causes the material to make a bit of a point which can catch on the back of my hands, if I am being a bit picky. Could also do with a slightly larger waterproof inner pocket as I find it a bit tight to fit my phone in there. Not worn it in any inclement weather as yet, but expect it to perform well. I have tried the ventilation which seems very good. Overall, very pleased with this jacket.
Halvarssons Liden ladies jacket in black
I bought this jacket for Spring and Autumn. Normally I am a size 10-12 I got the size 14 so that I could add a thermal liner and the fit is great. A really comfortable well designed jacket with a well tapered waist and shaped arms, far more so than my more expensive jacket. Good zips, no velcro not a fan well ventilated, material no too stiff. Pockets that a phone fits in! Would recommend this jacket and suspect I shall wear without my liner this summer as its so comfortable.
