Shoei JO helmet in brown Product Information

The Shoei JO is not your traditional, classic, open-face, jet helmet. Most of the helmets on the market are still very much based on the design of the original Bell from the 1950s. The JO is an updating of that original concept. In profile it has a more sloped shell that falls to a little upturned Kama tail at the neck. It has no poppers for a peak, but what it does have is a built-in, and adjustable, drop-down visor. The shell is the same Matrix composite fibre shell you find on many Shoei helmets. For a relatively low-profile fit, the shell comes in three sizes. The Bell may have more but, in terms of comfort and fit, there’s no comparison. But what makes the JO such a brilliant helmet is that retailers have the ability to fit three different sizes of cheek pad and three different sizes of headliner into every single size. A perfect fit can never be totally guaranteed, but no other open-face on the market offers such scope for custom fitting. You’ll find the full specification in the bullet points, but if you’re looking for the last word in open-face sophistication, the JO is pretty much it.

Geoff Cadman: Suits you Madam or Sir

Although Ive bought four garments from Motolegends in the last six months, last Thursday was our first visit to the shop and what a great experience it turned out to be. Things being as theyve been, we expected to wait our turn but had missed the lunchtime rush and so were ushered straight in. We were looking for a new helmet for my wife who, in no time, was sipping a mint tea. Rob did a thoroughly professional job of explaining the vagaries of the human skull and after measurements were taken we were presented with several different lids and padding combinations before the ideal fit-to-type was achieved. My wife has excellent taste me being one of her more modest selections and finally settled on a Shoei J.O., as she is not happy wearing a full-face. Despite being a Schuberth C3Pro chap, I have owned an open face Arai and have to say that this Shoei is just as instantly comfortable, with a great finish and quality lining. The care and attention to detail shown by Rob leaves you with the distinct impression that you have been sold the best kit with the best fit. It was the best experience in purchasing a helmet that I can remember in over 50 years in various saddles. Highly recommended.

David Barnard: lovely Shoei

As good as everyone says it is. Top quality, operates perfectly and looks great. I chose the matt brown finish to wear with my 2 different tobacco colour Roland Sands jackets and I am very pleased and impressed with the way it looks. Many thanks Motolegends, as usual the best products and services
