Furygan Kenya Evo jacket review

Published on: 24 March 2020

Now, there’s nothing particularly fancy or special about this jacket. On one level, it’s simply a ‘cheap as chips’ summer jacket that is not particularly worthy of great comment. Indeed, it’s not even a very new style. It’s actually been in the Furygan range for more than a few years. But there’s nothing that excites guys of a certain age, the age of the Chap in the Cap, more than a bit of gratuitous Steve McQueen style. You see the Kenya Evo bears more than a passing resemblance to the famous Harrington jacket originally made by Baracuta, and that, back in the sixties, became a staple outer for everybody from James Dean and Frank Sinatra to Elvis Presley and Paul Newman. We’ve rarely seen Chris exhibit such excitement. Of course, he talks us through all the technical stuff. He explains all about the levels of protection you can expect. And he takes a pop at the Furygan website, which clearly he doesn’t rate. But the bottom line is this. Our chap really does think the Kenya Evo is a cool jacket!
