Halvarssons Zion Pant Video Review
Published on: 09 March 2020
New from Halvarssons for 2020, and scheduled to arrive with us at some point in March, is a pant called the Zion. As Chris explains, it’s a bit of a hybrid. In its camo colourway, it looks like it should be an adventure pant, and with a removable waterproof membrane, this might reinforce such an impression. But, with no vents, this is no off-road pant. It has no thermal liner either, but that never bothers us. You just layer up. The Zion pant, in our view, is a trouser that does a bit of everything, although it doesn’t excel at anything. You wouldn’t wear them in the desert, you wouldn’t want to be out in five hours’ rain in them, and you probably wouldn’t do a long-distance, winter commute in them. But if you’re a weekend rider or somebody with a shortish commute, and you want an all-round, comfortable and protective biking trouser for less than a couple of hundred quid, then you might well have hit the jackpot. The chap in the cap explains all.
