Rukka Nivala trousers in black Product Information

The Nivala is Rukka's new top-of-the-range suit that effectively replaces the Armas. Like the Armas, it is the most expensive outfit in their textile line up.

The new suit used all the same technology that you find in all the company's other laminate suits, but there's a much greater emphasis on comfort and livability. The outer shell, as you would expect, is a three-layer Gore-Tex Pro, so you're not going to get wet, and the suit will dry out rapidly. But on the Nivala the outer shell contains some stretch so it's a lot easier to wear than Rukka's other laminated products.

The Nivala trousers, much like the jacket counterpart, implements thermal insulation in a very different manner to conventional methods. An additional inner down trousers are carried in small pouches and you can simply wear them when the winter days roll in.

Rukka's very own AntiGlide system has also been implemented in these trousers which helps to ensure that your seat does not move unnecessarily during a ride.

Other features include: Leather patches inside the knees for added protection, vents on the thighs for additional ventilation, and waterproof pockets for loose objects

Plus, every new pair of Nivala trousers come with a 5 year warranty which can be extended to 6 if you register the product online.

Obviously the trousers can be attached to the jacket by zipping them together.

Overall, we have to say that we are both impressed and delighted. Impressed because it is also that Rukka has been listening to its critics. Without any compromise as far as protection is concerned, the company has developed a new pairing that is going to be much nicer to wear than anything that has gone before. The Nivala Trousers comes in regular, long and short leg length.

Come and see it for yourself. We thing you'll be rather impressed.

Orfeo: Pants Rukka Nivala

Rukka è una garanzia. I pantaloni Nivala sono comodissimi e estremamente adattabili, ma il prezzo è un tantino elevato. Product very best

Roger: Brilliant kit

Perfect for voluntary bike work on the cold wet mornings this winter. The only downside is that I didn't notice the price match promise!

Steve: Great pants but .....

I bought these trousers as part of the complete suit and already used them in torrential rain. Overall they worked very well but did find on the bottom the small leather patch gets wet and makes you feel damp! The next point worth a mention is sizing, I use the suit on an Adventure bike so sat upright and so size works very well, however I did borrow a sports bike and with the more cramped position legs up and leaning forward I found the trousers tight around the tops of thighs! I mention this because if your going to use this suit or trousers give yourself a bit of extra room to allow for this I certainly would have gone for a size larger if using a sports bike all the time ! But overall very good 4 stars

Colin: Well worth it

I do about 20000 miles a year, mainly touring/camping. Had a good tryout in Wales, superb, and over 6 years.....cheap as chips!

Tom Walters: Bought the suit and trousers

Pricing aside - best set of trousers with comfiest armour outfit I've ever tried - done in excess of 8k this year and love them - comfortable and well fitted - only comment I'd make is that the zip is a little further back to start than on BMW suits when zipping together. Other than that - no issues at all :)

Alasdair Denton-Miller: Top Notch Trousers!

I bought the Nivala jacket at the beginning of the year, and it proved to be a fantastic piece of kit. So after much hemming and hawing I decided to buy the trousers this October. Now I already have waterproof riding trousers (Rokker Revolution) that are excellent, but I wanted the additional warmth of the Rukka Nivala trousers for the winter, and the ability to attach them to the jacket. So far, they have been brilliant. Totally waterproof and very warm even without the down liner. They are a bit of a commitment to get on and off compared to jeans, but once you are in them, and with the Nivala jacket attached, it really doesn't matter what the weather does - you will stay bone dry and warm all day. They really are a super bit of kit and I look forward to long tours in them next year. Bring on the snow at the top of the Picos in June! The only downside is of course the price. They are very expensive, but Motolegends will price beat and always be the lowest cost price to buy from!

Paul Hoffmann: Mr

Fantastic pair of trousers and very comfortable to wear. The new down liner is a great improvement on my previous Rukka trousers. The only reason I did not give 5* is the whopping price!!
