Bridgedale Lightweight merino boot socks in black Product Information
This is one of two ‘short’ socks we do from Bridgedale. Bridgedale call this ‘boot’ height but, in essence, this is the height of sock you want when wearing a shorter, ankle boot. This is the lighter of the two weights we offer, designed for warmer weather and for those who run hot. Made with a 31% Merino component, the socks will effectively wick moisture away from the surface of the skin. Bridgedale’s socks are wonderfully engineered, and are far more than just socks. You get things like Shock Zones for added protection, Flat Toe Seams for less bulk in the toe area and what they call a Y-Cup in the heel for a firmer grip in the boot.

MattR: Nice socks
As an ex back packer, Im aware how good bridgedale socks are but have not really tried them for biking. So I was interested to see how well they worked with bike boots. I found they were just as good with bike boots as with hiking boots. Thick and comfortable, not too hot and well fitting. Merino wool is the best for socks but I have found in the past that it doesnt fare well if you put it in with the general wash. It needs careful washing with no fabric conditioner or scents. Even then, after the first wash, mine looked all fluffy. But all in all, I would certainly buy more
Andrew: Cool, comfortable and good value
I bought these for touring in summer wearing my ankle boots. They are quite thick but very smooth and comfortable. My feet felt fine in temperatures ranging from 12C to 28C and being merino wool I got away with wearing them two days running. Very nice and good value too.
David: Smoth fit
Perfect for my rocker boots S101006. Makes removing the bbots very easy.
