Held has been making motorcycle clothing since the 1990s. Prior to that the company had been a specialist producer of gloves including motorcycle gloves.
Held is not particularly well known in the UK but is nonetheless hugely respected as a designer and producer of motorcycle gear. The company is synonymous with quality craftmanship, exceptional durability, and unmatched comfort. It uses all the highest grade technologies and components from Gore-Tex and D3O to Superfabric, 37.5 and Ripstop. Held's motorcycle clothing is immensely detailed, well thought through and well put together. It is very high end riding equipment at a sensible price.

Held Hydro rain jacket in black
I have a fluorescent yellow Scott but needed a black one for when I want to be a bit more discrete. Chris has written a lot about the efforts Held went to in order to emulate the now discontinued Scott and theyve nailed it. If it wasnt for the Held logo, youd struggle to spot the difference. Im normally a large - sometimes medium - for biker gear but went small for the Held, the same as the Scott. This is to stop any flapping in the wind and makes for a nice fit. No chance to try its efficacy in the rain - there wasnt been any - but I have no doubts.
Held Sambia 2.0 gloves in anthracite
I bought these gloves as I was fed up with my Rukka summer gloves with their lack of ability to use my Chigee touch screen. The NUDUD system Held and Halvarssons use is brilliant. Nothing else gets close to its ability to allow you to use a touch screen whilst still wearing gloves. Aside from that, they are comfortable, fit well and allow a reasonable amount of air to flow through them. Top drawer gloves.
