You may never have heard of ‘Warm and Safe’, but they are the oldest and most technically sophisticated maker of heated clothing. Most other makers merely copy the technology developed by Warm and Safe, although for the most part, they are normally two or three generations behind the American company. Warm and Safe Heated Clothing use ultra-fine carbon filaments, their fourth generation jacket provides all-over heat that extends right up to the collar. I was looking for some heated gear to wear underneath my AdventureSpec Supershirt, and the Warm Safe base layer seemed to fit the bill. It seems very well made and I really like how I was able to mount the Bluetooth controller on my crossbar where I can easily reach it. It does work, of course, although my wife felt that perhaps for ultimate heat her Keis vest had it beaten, but that takes up a whole lot of room we dont have when travelling. Overall, highly recommended, especially if you favour the layering approach to motorcycle gear.

Bought this as the remote I already had had stopped working. When I opened it to change the batteries I had found it corroded inside. The new unit had batteries fitted, was connected and working within five minutes. It will teach me to remove batteries when the unit isnt used for a long period.

Paired with my Warm and Safeheated base layer these gloves make winter riding a pleasure. The dual heat controller is so easy to use and keeps me comfortable without getting too hot yet never feeling too cold either. In a word brilliant The only minor niggle is that I would like to see a better method of attaching the controller to the handlebars rather than a Velcro pad to the clutch reservoir.
