Falco Ranger 2 boots in black Product Information
We really like the Falco Ranger 2, although, in truth, it differs to its predecessor only in minor respects. The Rangers are, it perhaps has to be acknowledged, not the roughest, toughest, most Tonka Toy-like boot on the market but, by reputation, they are just about the most comfortable biking boots you'll ever sink your feet into. The full-grain leather has been oil treated for extra water repellency, but the real waterproofing comes from the waterproof membrane. A full-length zip makes the boots a little easier to get in and out of, but do not forger that the waterproof gusset will mean that you will still probably have to use the laces. One neat touch is a pocket at the top of the boot into which you can tuck the laces to keep them out of harm's way. The ankles are protected with D3O inserts. Now Falco state that the Ranger has a Goodyear-welted construction. It doesn’t. The sole is a reasonably rugged and, unlike the Ranger 1, it has a pronounced heel. The previous version had a flatter sole. This made moving one’s feet up and down the pegs easier, but some people didn’t like the fact that the flat sole could make you feel as though you were leaning backwards. The new sole and heel, therefore, probably signify the only significant change from the 1 to the 2.

Glen: Really nice boots...
I wanted a pair of boots that were lighter, cooler and easier to walk around in on a hot summer day than my Alpinestar Belize ones. I had been wavering on purchasing these Falcos, but as usual a Motolegends weekend offer tipped the balance. They fir true to size Im a UK7 or EU41 and, as others have said, theyre pretty comfortable straight from the box. Easily ok for a days walking around off the bike, and smart enough looking to pass for normal, particularly when paired with Rokker jeans. I wouldnt choose to wear them on a wet or cold day, obviously, but they easily achieve what I wanted from them. One extra thing to note is that, with them laced snugly, the side zip does open them up enough for me to get them on and off without having to faff with undoing the laces. Granted, thet might vary for others with different sizedshaped feet, but I was pleasantly surprised and thought it worth passing on.
Tom: Solid choice
Honestly bought on a whim, 1st ride out was Silverstone MotoGP practice day so rode in them for an hour each way and spent the day walking around the track and I can agree that these are a solid pair of bike boots that ride well and really are comfortable out of the box! Got a positive comment from my lad who quite fancies a pair now so they must look alright too. Come with red laces fitted but theres black in the box if you prefer.
Andy: Great short boots
I have worn these on the bike about a dozen times now and spent the day at work wearing them. These boots are comfortable straight out of the box, a tiny bit of breaking in around the ankle but minimal. Very comfortable both on and off the bike. The write upblurbproduct description was as usual pretty much spot on. Stitched sole is for effect only but these seem really robust. They came with two pairs of laces , one orange and one black which was a nice touch. The sole has an interesting tread as it has lugs which are quite flexible and the first couple of times I wore them I could feel the grip flex slightly when walking, very stable though. All in all I am very pleased with the boots and as normal the Motolegends service was spot on.
Jim s: Nice boots
These boots are true to size and are a little wider fitting than other Italian boots. They are very comfortable with grippy soles so great for walking about sight seeing. Ive now put gel insoles in and now they are next level comfy. They even keep looking good with use
Jeff: Great boots
Comfortable from new and great quality.
Bob Lendon: Only Boots l want to Own
Really comfortable, strong and hard-wearing. Now on my second pair but original pair are still in use as a back up.
Neil: Fantastic boots
These boots are just brilliant. Very comfortable, so much so that I wear them on a daily basis even when Im not on the bike.
