Held Season gloves in black Product Information

The Held Season glove is what one would term a lightweight, winter glove. It’s made from goatskin, so is incredibly comfortable to wear. Waterproofing come courtesy of Gore-Tex. For protection you get a soft, knuckle protector; you also get areas of Superfabric for abrasion resistance. But perhaps the most special component is the glove’s Outlast lining. Now Outlast is clever stuff. It stores heat in paraffin molecules within the membrane. Used properly, it can deliver a lot of heat, but it does so without great bulk. But the glove will work particularly well with heated grips, because as the  heat gets absorbed by the Outlast in the palm it will pass it around the membrane to the back of the hand. As a glove, the Season is very similar in concept and construction to the Halvarssons Beast. Like the Beast, what we’d say about the Season is that, if you could only have one glove to wear all year round, it would be a glove like this. You could easily wear it through the summer, but with heated grips you could also wear them pretty deep into the winter.

Howard Becke: Super comfortable and walm

I visited the shop with a longlist and reduced this down to the Held Season with excellent advice from the Chap in the Hat. The heat transmission stuff really works. These are the most comfortable gloves I have had in 51 years of riding motorbikes. Also you get excellent feel and they are not bulky. Obviously it depends what you ride and how you ride but I would say these are absolutely usable up to 20 degrees and probably more if you have a fully naked bike. I live in the North East so thats not much of an issue for me. I recently did 1100 miles on my Tiger down to Cornwall and back and they were excellent. Fortunately I have had little experience of using them in the rain.
