Motorcycle gloves

There are many different styles of motorcycle glove to suit just about every kind of riding situation, and if you ride across the seasons, it is likely that you will have to equip yourself with more than one pair of gloves. For summer riding, and when it’s dry, it’s hard to argue against leather motorcycle gloves. It’s comfortable to wear, has strength for abrasion resistance, and gives the rider good feel at the controls. But leather is not good in the rain, as it simply absorbs moisture. This can leave you feeling both wet and cold. When it’s cold but dry, you may want to go for a padded leather glove. Every biker will probably also need a pair of waterproof motorcycle gloves. These can either be a summer weight or, for when it is cold and wet, an insulated and waterproof textile glove. Of course, from a style perspective, there are dozens of different designs that allow you to match your glove to the style of bike you ride.

We particularly like and recommend Richa gloves and Held gloves. Both companies started out as glove manufacturers so they really know gloves. Richa make very highly spec'd gloves at very competitive prices. Held make quite unique gloves and in a good range of sizing including short-fingered versions.

Verified customer reviews for Motorcycle gloves

Held Misawa Sports gloves in black

Hugh Mackay: Misawa sports glove

Very happy with the gloves, size 11 fitted my xl hands perfectly. They are a lot more protective than the Icon gloves they replaced. Free next day delivery really was next day.

Richa Atlantic GTX gloves in black

David: Richa Atlantic GTX

I needed a pair of brown retro looking GTX gloves to match my brown retro Triumph GTX leather jacket and bought these based on excellent reviews and looks. They were a good fit and comfortable from the start and several years later this has only improved. They feel quite lightweight but work surprisingly well over a wide range of temperatures and conditions and remain totally waterproof even after several years, pretty much a three season glove. They tuck nicely into the cuffs of my jackets and are my go to gloves except for exceptionally cold or warm conditions. I found sizing was a tad on the neat side, I needed XL which is similar to my sizing on Alpinestars, by contrast I wear a large in my Richa Squadrons. When these eventually wear out I would ideally replace them like for like.

Lee Parks ISDT gloves in black / yellow

Ben: Supreme. Buttery smooth.

The wrote from Legends is spot on. I wore them in the house to break them in, did push ups on bars to stretch them and flexed my hands. Today, took the bike out and they were excellent. It was almost like not wearing gloves! Excellent feel on the controls and just felt so comfortable and I noticed I was using far less grip on the throttlegrips.
