Leather Motorcycle Jackets

A leather jacket is a motorcycling staple, and it is written in law somewhere that every motorcyclist has to own at least one leather biker jacket. Leather is very comfortable to wear, and becomes more so with age. Leather is also abrasion resistant, although this depends on the thickness of the leather and, these days, textile jackets can offer even more protection than leather. Leather is not warm, per se, but with base layers or a thermal liner a leather jacket can be fine in the cold. But leather is emphatically not what you want in the wet. It soaks up the moisture, and can very quickly make you feel very cold.

Suggested sizing is spot on. I take an EU58 in most bike jackets so the 3XL in this one was spot on. Lovely soft and supple leather makes the jacket very comfortable to wear so the triple A rating is a real bonus. At ML sale price the jacket is an absolute no brainier. However avoid Seguras own back protector not included which I bought elsewhere. It has all the flexibility of a wooden plank.

Ive wanted one of these for years and now its arrived, Im staggered at the quality. The smell of the leather, the detail of the stitching and the way it fits is just amazing. Its a true lifetime item and one I hope my kids will wear long after Im gone ! It fits smaller than UK sizes so buy one size up, my only comment. Truely a beautiful piece and one Im proud to own.
