Waterproofs for motorcyclists

A set of waterproofs is an essential accessory for all motorcyclists. In truth, we rate the Scotts above anything else that money can buy. In the winter, staying dry is crucial, for all the reasons we have already covered. Feeling wet when it’s cold is not nice, but when that wetness causes us to lose body heat, we are never far from trouble. But don’t ever forget that a waterproof membrane is also a windproof membrane, so whenever we feel cold a waterproof will further combat wind chill, whether it’s raining or not. You should never leave home without a set of waterproofs. They can literally be a life saver.

At last I have a pair of over trousers that work! I have been using a pair of Scott over trousers that I bought from Motolegends for a few years now, but, although they were perfectly waterproof, they were far to short. As over trousers all do, they rode up as soon as I sat on the bike, exposing the top of my short boot, and nearly the top of a normal motorcycle boot, causing trousers and feet to become very wet. So reading that a ladies pair were longer, I bit the bullet and ordered a pair. Well, Im pleasantly surprised how much longer they are. Probably about four or five inches longer, which has solved the problem of wet feet. I also had the elastic stirrups sewn on which keep them from riding up at all. Very happy.

Bought to go over a Klim mesh jacket for a recent trip to Wales. Thought Id best be prepared in case the heatwave ended abruptly whilst away. Only needed to use once, stayed nice and dry, and the small version fitted comfortably over the medium sized Klim mesh jacket. Packs into a nice stuff sack and easy to pack away. Good prompt service from Motolegends too. Thanks.
