Klim Marrakesh jacket in black Product Information

See the new for 2023  Klim Marrakesh jackets here.

This might just be the ultimate, lightweight, summer jacket. In concept, it is similar to the Rukka Forsair, but it betters it in a number of areas. The outer fabric of the Marrakesh is a 1000 denier woven Cordura, which probably accounts for its AA rating under EN17092. The fact that it does not have a waterproof membrane means that it will flow large volumes of air although, in the margin, we would have to suggest that the knitted Cordura of the Forsair will flow more. But made of stronger material, we would expect the Klim jacket to be more abrasion resistant and, with its four-way stretch, probably more comfortable to wear too. Armour is by D3O and comes fitted in the elbows, shoulders and back. All the rest is really detail. We're talking about pockets, reflective panels, comfort linings, and so on. Obviously, if it rains, you'll need a waterproof, but on a hot day this jacket is going to take some beating.

Peter: Best Jacket Ever

I wear this over an air bag its brilliant as it has loads of stretch to accommodate the bag etc. It also provides loads of air movement even with the air bag. Great price as it was in the sale.

martin: Great jacket

Was looking for a summer jacket that actually worked and kept you cool but crucially had protection. This fits the bill completely.

Anthony: Believe the hype!

I watched the Motolegends reviews with Chris and then searched out some other reviews, mostly from over the pond, and decided to pull the trigger. Im glad I did, it really is the most comfortable bike jacket I have ever worn, and the D30 armour gives that extra reassurance should the worst ever happen. It flows air very very well, and does feel like you are wearing a soft shell jacket. I have a Klim Zephyr shirt I have been using for a while, it folds up to a tiny size and fits in the marrakesh pocket, for the times when I need to block any wind out. Ive recently purchased a Scott waterproof from Motolegends and this makes the Marrakesh even more versatile, and its now become my daily everyday jacket. Sizing it does come up slightly large, I am a big bloke, 18 stone and 48 Chest, 40 waist and the 2 XL is a perfect fit for me, in that it fits well, in all areas and allows a little room for the Zephyr shirt and another layer should I feel the need. The ONLY thing I can offer criticism over is the lack of a connecting zip on the jacket, I would have preferred a zip to attach it to my Jeans. 100 perfect service from Motolegends, ordered and delivered next day, and Chriss assessment on the video is spot on. Its the most versatile, and comfortable jacket I have ever owned, and has taken over from my BMW Enduroguard jacket which previously held that title.

Andy: Brilliant jacket.

I bought this jacket only on the strength of our mini heatwaves realising that every jacket I have dont let air flow through them and therefore they are to hot, but not this one its lets plenty air through to keep me cool enough to enjoy my ride. At the same time it is extremely comfortable with its stretch material and because of this I intend to use it as a all year round jacket coupled with a down jacket and waterproof if needed. Im a 46 inch chest and ordered a medium and is a very comfortable fit and will accommodate the aforementioned down jacket.

Alan Fleming: Klim Marrakesh Jacket

An excellent jacket, used for a recent circa 200 mile journey in the sweltering heat. Worked flawlessly! Two points to note 1 buy a size down from your normal size as the jacket comes up large. 2 Although jacket comes with D30 level 1 armour, Level 2 armour will fit without problems in spite of increased bulk.

Mark J: Even more comfy

Just received the jacket. Absolutely thrilled to bits with it. So comfy. But to make it even more comfy I put in the ghost armour that I bought for my Belstaff Crosby jacket. Fits perfectly. Can you get ghost armour for the back? Size is generous. If you are normally medium as I am then get a small

Russell: Listen to what the man said!

Slowly but Surely getting the right proper kit for this biking malarkey!. Yes as explained it is a Tad Pricey, but what a bit of kit, fits like a glove if your like me .. taller lying down you will not be disappointed I have worn a good quality skin underneath with instant understanding how this jacket works I went for the Scott waterproof a perfect match. Well happy

Alessandro Pozza: I gave it a 5 because I couldnt give it a 10

Incredible jacket! I live in South East Asia and, trust me, this is the ONLY jacket I want to wear in this kind of climate. Unbelievable air flow and great protection too. 10 out of 10.

AustinW: Crash tested too

Two weeks ago I walked into Motolegends intent on upgrading my leather jacket and jeans with newer versions of the same I walked out with a Marrakech suit and Marrakech jacket for my wife. The most comfortable bike suit I have ever tried on or owned. Its light, the stretch in the fabric is amazing, just enough pockets, subdued styling and a good American fit for the portly gentleman of a certain age too. Its fantastic. On the bike it flows just enough air to keep you cool - its been 23+c the last few days and its perfect. At 16c or less its a bit cool for a longer high speed ride so a windproof layer is required either under or over the jacket. It really is as good as the video suggests. Two weeks after purchase I slid off on an oil slick left by some farmer or other. 50+mph hard down onto tarmac and I and bike slid approx 50 metres. My damage a couple of small grazes on my forearm where I think the sleeve slid up. The trousers took the brunt though with a big melted area on the hipthigh area and a seam near that knife holder pocket looking like it could do with some attention. But my leg is unharmed. So yes the fabric works as well. Does the Klim crash guarantee work in the uk? Lets find out.

Charlie: Another hit from Motolegends

The perfect summer jacket. I purchased a Klim Marrakesh with high hopes of a trip to Corsica in late summer 2020, all booked but eventually postponed to 2021 due to Covid. However, I got the chance to ride on some warm days in the UK and combined with my Rokkertech jeans, TCX shortie boots and matching Klim Marrakesh gloves I've found the ideal summercontinental riding outfit. A decent level of protection admittedly always a subjective thing yet able to maintain a reasonable temperature in hot weather. You do still get warm in traffic but that's inevitable unless you use a cooling vest. Combine this outfit with a two piece breathable rain-suit, over-gloves and my Halvarssons Wool Polo base layer for varying conditions, elevations and temperatures, all compact so pack easily into my luggage, and I have all I need for any summer continental tour. Previously I had worn a mesh jacket from another brand that did'nt fill me with much confidence if the worst were to happen. The Marrakesh seems to be made of the right stuff in this regard robust Cordura shell and D3O armour. Motolegends were very helpful and despite this I ordered a large which was too big for reference I'm 6, lanky with a 34 waist and 44 chest. Not a problem, swapped for a medium which is a great fit. Just slightly snug with a barest of stretch from the jacket as its designed to do.
