Pando Moto Shell WW 02 ladies protective body in black

The Pando Moto Shell WW 02 is clearly a bodysuit made specifically for women. It is a single layer protective armoured body. So fits a ladies body shape whilst still being stretchy and allowing movement on the bike. 

 

The Shell is made of what Pando Moto call a Balistex bi-stretch fabric. That material contains a UHWMPE for abrasion resistance. The body suit is approved to AA standard under EN 17092. It comes with SAS-TEC Level 1 armour in the elbows and shoulders. This can be upgrade to Level 2 although only with the SAS-TEC as the pockets will not take D3O armour. And, the armour is a little on the small side especially on the elbows. However, given that the body is tight, you can be assured that it is in the correct position which makes up a little for its size. In terms of a back protector, there is a Pando Moto version but it is thick and not very breathable. We would recommend the Rheon Level 2 back protector. 

 

The body has an adjustable body length as there are two fastenings at the crotch which should allow for different heights! The cut on the body is pretty high at the hip in my view although Pando suggest the cut has been relaxed a little so you can wear with lower cut jeans. For me, I think a high waisted jean is always better on a motorbike.

 

Back to the body. The Shell WW 02 can be worn as a standalone garment. So offering abrasion and impact protection in a body hugging, low profile body suit. Alternatively, you can wear this as an armoured and protective base layer and wear any jacket over the top as the season demands. The choice is yours.
