PMJ Tex-Pro jeans in blue Product Information

The Tex-Pro is the motorcycle jean that we, at Motolegends, developed with PMJ. We asked them to create a single-layer jean with a slide time that would be equal to that of a leather pant, but that would, in price terms, sit somewhere in between the price of a simple cotton/Cordura jean and the more expensive offerings of brands like Rokker. We sought a jean with a slim fit, in a light wash. We wanted them to come with a zip fly. PMJ surpassed our expectations. This is a jean that is no heavier to wear than a pair of fashion jeans, but they deliver a slide time of 4.2 seconds, and under the most recent EN 17092 CE regulations they are rated at the highest AAA level. The price is exactly what we had wanted, and within that price you even get a leather belt. Until now the less expensive single-layer jeans were not sufficiently protective for spirited road riding. Those that were up to the job, were inevitably expensive. The Tex Pros from PMJ offer all the abrasion resistance that any rider will ever need on the road. They offer all the comfort of a street jean. And they do it for the price of an ordinary, aramid-lined jean. These are the jeans that will change the way all motorcyclists look at protective jeans. Bob W: Comfortable but slim

The softness of this fabric is amazing considering its abrasion resistance. They do feel a bit warmer than regular fashion jeans but not as warm as my kevlar lined jeans. They fit as measured, not typical vanity sizing. The size 40 PMJs fit like a 38 Levis. The legs are slim which keeps the knee armor in position but will not easily go over boots with shinguards. Smallershorter boots or boots over the jeans. If you have big calves these might not fit you. The hip armour supplied was not comfortable to me so I replaced both the knee and hip bits with D30 Ghost armour. Im pretty happy with them.

V12HT-EUCRider: Ratcheting belt shorter length please

I fell at 15-20 MPH, 30 KMH, while riding EUC on the side walk. My legs were painless, but I was using an Amazon ratcheting belt and got road rash above my hip, under the belt. I didnt know the freebie belt actually had protective qualities. So I didnt use it because traditional belt buckles are annoying. After falling, I use the freebie belt for the safety. Im 32W 30L USA size. The size 34W 32L is good waist wise, but its too long. I wouldve preferred a 30L because the kneepads are a bit lower than Id like. I wear Leatt Dual Axis Knee Pads while I ride EUC, which hold the pants knee armor up at the right height for me, but itd might be a problem if I didnt.

Stu: Great jeans

Purchased a couple of weeks ago and wore them on a trip to Belguim. Very comfortable on and off the bike especially with D3O ghost armour. Just like wearing normal jeans. Recommended.

Matt: Spot on

I was looking for a Jean that offered great protection Im a new rider at a reasonable price Im a new rider! So its expensive getting started. These jeans seem to hit the mark as described in the video review. They are really comfortable and although having knee armour feels a little strange I suspect thats due to the Jean feeling like a traditional fashion Jean in every other respect! The hip armour is an added bonus and is hardly noticeable. Really pleased with the fit, finish and protective elements. Unlike other reviews I dont have any issue with the leather patch on the belt loop... Not cheesy in my opinion but perhaps its been redesigned? Overall a great purchase made confidentiality thanks to the thorough review and excellent service provided my motoledgends.

Nick: Excellent Jeans

Very light to wear and cut nicely. The great price also helps. Perfect for the summer.

Jeff: Cool and trendy looking jeans

Order a waist size up from normal size as these seem to be neat made jeans. They are cool to wear on a warm sunny day. Trendy looking jeans with a feeling of no bulk about them but with a great feel of comfort when sitting on the bike. In fact they make you realise just how bulky our usual textiles can feel. The hip protector pouch which is stitched into the waistband and hangs loose has no other stitching or fixing to keep it in place. The knee protectors I feel could do with just a little more downward adjustment but otherwise they are secure and have very little bulk around the knee. The leather belt is a bit chunky, a bit OTT, but never the less, a good quality leather belt. As is the manufacturers label sewn into the waistband, a bit chunky but easily removed if so desired. You can walk in for a coffee, and you would appear to be wearing normal casual jeans. In fact if you were on holiday or on a bike tour, if you removed the protectors, these jeans could be used as casual jeans in the evening. They are none the less excellent quality, well made jeans, and they do fit over my bike boots and look good, although I usually wear short summer boots with them, making me feel cool and looking trendy. I just need a white T shirt and black leather jacket now. Chris..

Martin: So pleased with these jeans

I love these jeans, had them over a year now and have absolutely no issues. So comfortable on and off the bike. Totally recommend them

Jose S: Crash tested unfortunately

Firstly I think these are great looking jeans and once youve sorted the sizing dilemma go one size up, theyre a great fit. Regrettably Ive now had the misfortune of crash testing them. Definitely resisted the abrasion well, but the knee armour came up short Im afraid. No broken bones but the soft tissue damage isnt good. I believe from experience that large more robust armour wouldve reduced my injuries. I have already replaced them with a pair of Klim Kodiak trousers from Motolegends of course to match my jacket. My Jean riding days are over no matter how warm it gets. Which is my next point they are quite warm to ride in which was a surprise me. Im actually going to strip the armour out of the PMJs and wear them as normal jeans come the cooler temperatures.

neil: Super Jean Love Love Love em

Just Wow! These are so comfortable to wear with the added AAA protection and huge slide time for the money they are terrific. come with a nice quality leather belt and super soft knee and hip protectors all in a useful holdallbag. The Spidi J trackers are more comfortable but only just and are no where near as protective.

Al: Best motorcycle jeans Ive bought

Wow, these jeans are really comfortable. They also fit like a fashionable set of jeans, unlike most motorcycle dad style jeans. I have a 35 inch waist, but wear a 32 waist in USA sizes USA has vanity sizing for jeans. I got a 34 in waist for the PMJ jeans and it is a perfect fit. These are replacing my Klim K fifty 2 jeans, these jeans are so much better. Thanks motolegends, fast shipping, great service!

David Buck: Comfortable Protective Jeans

Nice piece of kits are these jeans, triple A rated and skinny enough to keep the knee armour in place without trying to look like a teenager again! Not heavy on, armour is soft enough and pockets are a good size. Feel like a normal pair of jeans which is what I was looking for coupled traded off with the good protection. Recommended.

Richard: PMJ text pro jeans

I purchased these jeans as I was looking to try a single layer pair but I didn,t want to compromise on protection. Reviews looked good and tech details gave confidence regarding protection levels. Ive had them for about 4 weeks and got to wear them during the week of 30 plus degrees. A single layer is definitely cooler and more comfortable that my other multi layer pair. I am really impressed with the comfort feel and they do give confidence should a trip down the tarmac happen. In terms of fit I would recommend you go to the store. I couldn't so ordered on line. I went for my normal 34 waist but choose short where as I would normally have regular as they are long for good reason. They were a lovely fit apart from the waist which was tight. I ended up going for 36 waist and short which feel really comfortable although slightly looser in the leg. They are Italian and you are advised a slim fit. This is in no way an issue but the sizing may be different to your normal. Easy process to return the other pair and got full refund. In conclusion I love these jeans and great in hotter temps. Apart from the amour you don't realise they are bike jeans. A great product and excellent service, dealt with on line, from Motolegends. Thanks

Adam G: Comfort and safety at a good price

As the other reviewers have said, these really are a very comfortable pair of jeans, they feel just like any decent pair of soft denim jeans from the high street. I tried both these and the Rokkertech Raw Straight jeans. I'm typically more of a straight cut jeans type of guy so thought Id go for the Rokkers, but my main reason for buying was for comfort in hot weather without compromise. The fabric of these jeans is so much softer and lighter weight, that they were just supremely comfortable. The slide time is equal to leather so I am happy with that. The armour that they come with is very soft and comfortable, you dont need to get the ghost armour. That said I did get the ghost armour as it was only £25 extra and it really is very good. I rode the jeans home on a hot sunny afternoon 90 mins and they were great. The only down side is that they wont go over a typical long boot, they fit inside very comfortably though. They are also a very good price for the comfort and protection. I now think I need to get some summer boots to go with them as my feet were cooking in my Sidis. For info on sizing, I typically take a 36-38 on trousers from GAP, 38 can be a bit loose sometimes, 36 a bit snug sometimes, inside leg is 32. The comfortable fit for me in these was W40 L34. With the Rokkertech Straights it was W38 L32. I should also say, it was my first time to the shop in Guildford, because of the limit on the number of people allowed in the shop due to COVID19 measures I had to wait 15 mins or so, but there is a seating area out the back, in the shade, and if you are lucky you might get a tea or coffee while you wait. Once inside the shop is lovely and the service is excellent, beware though, there are lots of tempting things to buy. Cheers, Adam

Alberto: Great jeans!

I bought the PMJ Tex-Pro jeans online after watching a video review by Chris chap in there cap and Im very happy with them and with the Motolegends service. They jeans are vey comfortable and fit very well. Id also like to say that the people from Motolegends have been very kind and helpful. I was wrong with the size and I had to return the first jeans I got, but, despite the problems with the mail because of the coronavirus situation, they were very efficient and sent me some new jeans - to Spain. where I live. I really appreciate what they've done and the quality of the product.

Ricky: Proof is in the pudding

I purchased these Jeans after watching a Moto Legends video review. The sizing was spot on but there is a great deal of stretch fabric woven in, which felt odd at first but makes perfect sense when sat on the bike, the armour also sits in all the correct places Very comfortable. The Jeans are very lightweight and should be cool in the summer. I am writing this review while sitting in hospital nursing some broken bones to my upper body after a collision with Deer in the road. The Jeans held up very well with some scuffing and odd holes. My knee has some abrasions, which I am sure would of been much worse without the Jeans or armour. I will be purchasing a replacement pair in the very near future.

Steve Price: Mr

Can't say enough good things about these jeans. You literally can't tell the difference between these and a regular pair, bar the armour pockets and a slight yellow tinge to the inside. I find it hard to believe they are AAA rated and clearly I hope to never put that to the test. They are comfortable to wear in any situation even with the super-thin armour in place. They are fairly slim-fitting and tight in the leg but that's Italian styling I guess and that's fine by me. I wear Stylmartin Rocket boots and with a bit of coaxing the legs go over just fine. They would get a 5 but for the waist button feeling a little flimsily attached and the design of the logo on the leather patch at the back being a bit cheesey designed. That came straight off with a bit of unpicking. A stylish, progressive and practical garment. Well done Motolegends!

Brian Little: Mr

Very well made jeans, soft & comfortable to wear. Available in long leg (I’m 195cm tall). Lower leg is relatively narrow and won’t fit over normal touring boots (Daytona) so unfortunately I had to return them.

Reply from Motolegends

Yes, they are fairly slim as most people are looking to wear riding jeans with a shorter more casual style motorcycle boot.
