Rukka D3O Air XTR Level 2 elbow armour set Product Information
Rukka has been working with D3O since 2011. The newest level of limb protection for Rukka garments is the Rukka D3O Air XTR range. These protectors offer CE Level 2 certification in ambient, wet and cold conditions. Comfort levels and breathability have been increased by using a new D3O material with its highly ventilated geometric design which itself increases airflow whilst riding.
What also needs to be appreciated with Rukka's D3O armour is that, not only is it Level 2, but it is significantly bigger in its coverage area than the standard D3O limb protectors.
These Rukka D3O Air XTR level 2 limb protectors fit in all men's Rukka jackets and Rukka pants (and already come as standard in all the current range) except the leather Rukka Block Race and the Rukka Spirit jacket.
Specification
- Specific to Rukka mens jacket and trousers
- Meets Level 2 EN1621-1 certification
- Much larger in surface area than standard D3O limb protectors

Robin F: An upgrade for my Rukka...
It wasnt until recently that I appreciated motorcycle clothing armour has a finite lifespan, beyond which it will start to lose its effectiveness and no longer deliver the originally intended rider protection. The lifespan seems to be based on a range of factors, but suffice it to say the D3O amour in my still fully serviceable 12 year old Rukka suit was almost certainly past its Best Before date. An investment in a new set of shoulder and elbow protectors will have restored, or hopefully even improved the protection my Rukka jacket now affords me. During the replacement process I could see my old armour had some minor cracks where it had flexed over the years, and it had clearly lost some of its comfort compared with the replacements. I also replaced the D3O back protector with a younger version swapped out of my two-year old Marrakesh jacket. The Marrakesh now sports a Rheon level 2 back protector - see that review.
James: Required for Rukka
Good quality but expensive. Little choice due to bespoke design to marry with Rukka jacket.
