Halvarssons Rogen jeans in black Product Information
Halvarssons has never been much of a jeans brand, until now. But with the Rogen jean the Swedish company might just have cracked their motorcycle jeans offering. The jean is single-layer, woven from aramid fibres with cotton and Elastane. Now aramid fibres don’t usually make for very lightweight jeans, but Halvarssons has somehow made it work. The Rogens are lightweight and easy to wear. There are lighter jeans out there, but nobody is going to have a problem with the Rogens. You could wear them all day.
The fit is a bit more Halvarssons than a Rokker jean or a PMJ jean. It is relaxed, but not what we would call baggy, although such considerations are obviously in the eye of the beholder.
The jeans come fitted with soft and flexible armour; not D3O Ghost soft, but so much nicer than the armour Halvarssons used to put in their jeans. The armour is Level 2 and is very adjustable. The jeans come with a zip sewn into the waistband, to enable you to zip into any Halvarssons jacket or Rukka jacket.
Impressively, especially when you take the price into account, the jeans are accredited AAA under EN17092.
There is only one respect in which the jeans disappoint. They come in only two leg lengths. But the issue is that the longer leg is a not-very-long 31”. The shorter leg is a very short 29”. And this despite the fact that the two most popular lengths in this market are 32” and 34”. The problem is that a motorcycle jean needs to be some 2” longer than a street jean, so if your inside leg is much longer than 30” you may have a problem. If you have 27” leg length, the only problem you might have is finding a motorcycle!
