Klim Ridgeline boots in black castlerock
The boots are as comfortable as the marketing blurb suggests and it is possible to wear these for walking the streets and trails as much as wearing them on the bike. Even though I ordered my usual shoe size I used the provided extra insole to make the boots a perfect fit. The boots are light and very well ventilated and provide a welcome alternative to my Dainese boots in the hot weather
Rokker Urban Racer boots in black / brown
I do not like waterproof linings!! I was in the military and goretex always turned your boots into plastic bags once the water got inside which it always will. it is so hard to fin non membrane boots, so I raided the kids inheritance for the Rokkers. They do need wearing in! I wore on a 5km dog walk, not good! last 2 k I was barefoot, just take your time. 2 days later I took them on a 1500mile ride to Scotland, weather on the first day was horrendous, horizontal rain through glencoe but boots didnt leak at all but you do need waterproofs with stirrups, I have no idea why they mostly dont. the boots got pounded for 4 days, they now look and feel fantastic, im still not walking 5km in them! but it wont be long.
Daytona AC Classics GTX boots in brown
Very comfortable and easy to put on just using the side zip, they feel very safe and secure despite being short. Great for summer use with jeans they wont replace my full-length Daytona boots for bad weather and touring but for popping to the shops and Sunday-morning blasts theyre great! Ive got the brown ones and the gearshift has left black marks on the toe. One carburettor leaked petrol on it too, but Im just chalking this all up to a developing patina and not worrying.
