Arai helmets have earned a reputation that few brands can match. Family-run since 1926, Arai builds every helmet by hand in their own Japanese factory, and they do it with a single focus: safety. Their philosophy is simple - they make helmets to be protective, not to meet price points or pack in features.

All Arai helmets are made using a proprietary R75 shell design, which prioritises a smooth, round shape to help “glance off” impacts. This focus on reducing rotational force has made Arai a pioneer in safety innovation - well before most helmet manufacturers gave it a second thought.

Arai doesn’t go in for drop-down sun visors, flip fronts or integrated comms. These are trade-offs they’re not willing to make, because anything that compromises the integrity of the shell is a no-go. Instead, they use premium materials, build everything by hand, and inspect each helmet at five separate stages in production. Every Arai lid takes 18 hours to make.

How long do Arai helmets last?

This is a difficult question to answer and depends on usage and personal preference. However, all Arai helmets come with a 5 year warranty.

Why are Arai helmets expensive?

Arai produces all its helmets in its own factory in Japan where they are hand made by highly qualified workers spending 18 hours per helmet. They are made and tested to a higher standard than other helmet brands. All the current Arai helmets meet the new EC 22-06 standard. 

What different Arai helmets are there and what are they best used for?

Which Arai crash helmet suits you very much depends on what, where and when you are riding. The Tour-X5 for an adventure tour, the Quantic for a commute or the Concept-XE for a Sunday ride out on a classic. All Arais still bring the same levels of quality and safety to the biker.

What are the available colours and design options for Arai helmets?

If you want a black Arai helmet you can get that in any of the styles, In addition there will be a plain grey or white helmet. They all come in a variety of graphics for the more adventurous!

Ordered a 5mm Arai helmet liner formy Quantic as the one in my helmet was proving to be a bit too big and therfore tight across my head. Really fast service from Motolegends. Only grumble is the price - £74.99. Cant blame Motolegends though as the liner was only £5 cheaper at the Visor Shop, but delivery was a few days longer and I needed it quickly. Arai helmet liners arnt cheap.
