Adventure jackets

What constitutes an adventure bike jacket? Here at Motolegends our view is that a real adventure jacket is one where you either don't have a waterproof membrane or where the waterproof membrane can be removed. The other form of adventure jacket we feature here are laminated waterproof jackets with good venting. These we see as adventure style jackets better suited for touring which features some light off-roading.

Anyway, you can watch the full run down on Chris's Best Adventure jacket video here.

Klim Marrakesh jacket in teak brown

Gareth: Klim Hit the Bullseye!

I have held back my review until returning from a bike tour of the mountain roads in Gran Canaria. Temperatures were generally in the high twenties and given the narrow roads and endless twisties, I rarely got up to any decent speed. In short, the Klim Marrakesh was superb. Im a big lad, 185cms tall, 130kgs, 50 chest. I bought a 3xl and to be honest its a bit too big. However, when using it with a Klim Zephyr, andor Klim Maverick and in aiding air flow, for me its probably better this way. The build quality is great and as has been said it is non-bike smart enough to wear away from your bike. As Chris advises, I switched to the D30 Diablo armour with a Rheon back protector and would recommend any other buyers to do the same. In sum, great jacket deserving of the hype and the usual fabulous service from Motolegends.

Graeme: Police do your homework

Got stopped by a copper for riding while standing on my pegs. He thought it was illegal. When he discovered I was riding legal, he queried my choice of clothing, the lack of protection there of. A tracksuit top and jeans are not sensible clothing choices for motorbikes he scolded. Wrong twice in quick succession? Klim Marakesh with Diablo armor. Superb! Light, casual, airy and stretchy. Cool in more ways that one.
