Richa Stripper trousers in black Product Information

The Richa Stripper trousers are unlike any other motorcycling trousers. They have been designed specifically for short distance commuters, for urban motorcyclists, and for these who prefer to wear biking trousers over their street pants. Made from a soft-shell fabric the trousers come with a fully waterproof membrane. But the Strippers’ point of difference is that you step in to them through the waist band. You then fasten them with the full-length waterproof zips that run down each leg. You can get in and out of these trousers in a matter of seconds. When you get to your destination, unzip them, take them off, and then walk down the street like a normal civilian! Made from a soft-shell fabric, the trousers are going to be warm. Fine in the spring, autumn and winter, too warm perhaps for the height of summer. And of course, the Stripper trousers come fitted with adjustable D30 armour in the knees. They also come with pockets for hip armour, but it is not included*. This is a type of trouser that many motorcyclists have spent many years looking for. We have seen versions of it in the past, but this is the first time that a company has produced a commuter-style trouser that, in our view, actually works. We would, though, counsel you to check out the size chart. These pants come up small. You’re going to want to go at least one size up on your normal size. The above size chart takes this into account so when ordering please select your usual waist size in inches, and order the size opposite.

Graham: Quality product

Unfortunately, I misjudged the size initially and had to return. Motolegends were great and kept me updated on their processing. The new arrivals didnt disappoint and although its early days and I have only used them twice so far, they are excellent. So easy to get on and off - which is the point of course. Very comfortable and they look good too. Im not so keen on the velcro fastening around the ankle as in my experience, velcro can quickly lose its fastening qualities. Other than that though, very pleased.

Donald: Super bit of kit

Ive been using these for a month or so. They are excellent for getting on and off - so easy - and it has transformed how I arrive at work or any other place where riding jeans arent so good to wear for a full day. They are also pleasant to wear, add a degree of weather protection - I havent been in a downpour but they perform well with ongoing drizzle and road wetness - and warmth retention. They fold down nicely to fit in panniers. Definitely recommended for daily commute to arrive in regular trousers underneath. For sizing I got an XL for a 34 waist and a Long length as Im 6 tall the Long length has a 35 inseam. The waist fits great and the length covers my ankles and boots when Im riding. A great piece of kit, well worth the price.

Michael: Genius

Bought these for the exact reason they were invented, the full length zip down each leg - genius. No more hopping around and falling over! Quality is excellent, fit is perfect. I am on the short skinny side with a 32 waste and 30 inside leg. I followed the sizing advice and purchased a size large with the short leg. They fit over my regular work pants and jeans perfectly. Dont know if they are waterproof as I have no rear mudguard so try not to ride in the wet if I can help it. Simply put, an excellent product.

Steve Francis: Great commuter overtrousers

These work really well for commuting - you can wear your work trousers and simply step in and out of these. They do come up a little small in size, I had to order XL rather then usual ML. The waist zip is a bit small and the ankle straps could be longer but all in all they work really well and are great value. They may prove too hot in summer when worn over regular trousers.

Brian: Very good

Perfect for commute and the weather we have had so far this winter, fit is true to size, and are made to fit over workwear, I thought that they might be a bit small so initially ordered next size up, they were too big so wasted a bit of time with the return, but as always Motolegends were spot on, if like me you want a good quality, easy to get into, warm protective over trouser to get to and from work, these are perfect.

Nicholas: Quick and easy to put on and take off - great for a short trip.

Ive used these in varying weather. They are easy to put on and take off. The pockets and zip access to inner trouser pocket are handy when commuting to work. Id love a longer leg length-but I do struggle with this in pretty much any trouser, and the waist comes up a little large for me. Im wearing a the 2XL. Im 66 with 34inch waist and 35inch inseam.

Robin: the reviews are not wrong

I always do a lot of research before I buy and in this case my research paid off. Everything I read about these trousers made sense, including the informative online Motolegends review. They are great value for money, well made and so easy to strip on and off. Very pleased with my purchase and the excellent customer service from Motolegends. Thank you!

Richie: The full Monty......?

I was loking for an overtrouser that was primarily going to be warm to wear over my Rokker Jeans on chilly mornings, and if they were shower proof, all the better. They are a little heavier than I expected, but in some ways thats not a bad thing. Very easy on off and as has already been said, you need to size up. I took a punt and took them to Scotland with me to wear over Rokkers....armout in jeans and removed from the stripper pants made for a comfortable combo. Whilst the rest of the country basked in a heat wave, in Scotland it rained every bloody day! But the pants stood up to the test. Warm and dry. Even on the return journey, from Birmingham to Surrey it rained solidly, only the bottom of my jeans got wet as I was in shorty boots. In summary, does what it says on the tin. Very pleased.

Colin Hitchcock: Excellent bit of kit

I do a lot of walking and travel down to the New forest often. Always felt a bit exposed riding down in walking trousers but these are so easy to put onoff that I can now travel armoured up. An excellent pair of trousers.

Ian Hindmarsh: Richa Stripper Pants

Bought these for my 30 mile daily commuting round trip and I'm hugely impressed. I've had them for a few months now and they are perfect for wearing over my work trousers. They size quite small so I was rather embarrassed to have to buy a 2XL! I got caught in ridiculously heavy rain last week and they actually performed way better than my, admittedly rather old, Gore Tex jacket, with just a slight leakage past the top of the zip on one leg after 35 minutes. They also very warm! I've worn them without hip armour but, having just bought some new Ghost armour for my jeans I will put the spare D30 hip armour in my stripper pants. My only gripe is the velcro leg fasteners are just a tad short; another inch would be perfect.

Paul Watts: Dr

Easy to get into and out of, wind/water proof(ish), CE approved and armoured... ticks all of the boxes for me and I wouldn't be wthout them! Very pleased with this purchase. Tested daily on local trips (10-15 miles) Oct/Nov/Dec and they work very well, keeping me warm and, in the light-medium rain, keeping me dry as well. I haven't tried them in heavy rain, so can't comment. Also tested Oct/Nov on several longer trips of 500-600 miles (with Rokker jeans underneath for additional safety), which is not strictly what they are made for... but they worked well and made life easy when getting to the other end. The litmus test is "would I buy them again?" and the answer is very much Yes.

Steven Mercer: Mr

Used for a couple of weeks now, on my daily 15 mile commute and a 150 mile ride. Firstly the concept is fantastic. I can now arrive at work and not have to get changed from riding jeans into regular trousers. Very easy and quick to take on and off. The fit is snug, especially as worn over jeans (or maybe I just ate too many mince pies over Christmas). This is actually a plus, as the material has good stretch and there is nothing flapping around. And they are so warm and comfortable that I can see them replacing my normal textile trousers. Haven't tried them in proper rain yet. A couple of improvements I'd suggest. They could use a removable liner, as I can see them being far too hot for summer use. And the velcro tabs at the bottom could be a little longer. Finally I have to say, I don't agree with Motolegends choice of hip armour. With a close-fitting garment like this, a contoured pad like the one they supply is too bulky (I think they use an elbow or a knee pad). Something like flexible SeeSmart or a thinner pad would be far more comfortable. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

Vince Sillence: mr

Lovely bit of kit, ideal for commuting in while wearing office trousers. The soft shell is quite tight and wind resistant so they feel like motorcycle trousers that makes me feel safe. I have only ridden in a shower so far but waterproof. On and off with ease, Very happy.

Fabio Garavello: Mr

These are great. Warm, comfy, easy to get on and off. Got caught in heavy rain and spray in Central London and not even moist on the inside. Only thing for me is that they should be one inch longer. I’m about 1.80m / 5’9 and I know my boots are short (above ankle) but either draft or water can sneak through as Velcro does not hold tight. In all cases, thoroughly recommended!

Robert Barlow: Mr

These are just what I wanted, I tried plastic over trousers before and used them up until I bought these stripper trousers. As soon as I see these advertised I thought this is exactly what I need. I had no hesitation buying them and I am very pleased I did. Extremely comfortable and flexible. On and off in seconds no more jumping about on one leg trying to get the other leg in lol. And you pay for what you get. Nice material which is warm and breathable.

Tony Poulter: MR.

Bought these about 2 weeks ago. Excellent quality. Rode for about 1.5 hours, kept warm and dry, over a pair of jeans. Bought XL, good fit for my 34 inch waist, although a little long in the leg. Very pleased.
