Richa Squadron gloves in asphalt Product Information
Richa suggest that this glove is inspired by the military; and to an extent that is true. But what is even more true is that this glove is an almost direct copy of a glove that used to be made by Oakley, and that was, indeed, supplied to the military for use by the special forces. Legion are the photographs of top-tier operators wearing those gloves. But Oakley have not made them for many years.
The Squadron is a very faithful reproduction of that glove, but as you might expect it has been worked on by Richa to make it work for motorcyclists. Indeed, the Richa version of the glove is, of course, fully CE approved as an item of protective wear for motorcyclists.
The original glove might have been just the job for storming embassies and the like, but for motorcycling the Richa derivative has a soft, D3O knuckle protector and a goatskin leather palm complete with panels of digi-print leather for extra grip on the relevant control surfaces!
Clearly, this is a summer glove; the glove has no membrane, but we think it’s one of the nicest summer gloves we have come across. Much of the textile fabric on the back of the glove is the same as you will find on Rukka’s Forsair 2 glove, but here the material throughout is infused with Lycra or some other kind of stretch component. Neoprene panels are also in abundance, whilst for extra airflow you get eyelets in the fingers, just as on the originals. The glove is lined with a soft, breathable jersey. Finally, the wrist fastens by means of a web strap.
Those original military-spec. gloves are hard to find these days; they are much in demand although it’s virtually impossible to find a pair. They are like gold dust. These Richa gloves look like the Oakley ones, but they are much, much nicer. If I was a Navy Seal or in the SAS/SBS, I would be all over these like a cheap suit. This really is Gucci gear!

Høgni: Richa Squadron review
These gloves are the most comfortable gloves I have ever tried. They are a bit narrow when you put them on, but once they are on your hand they fit perfectly. It would be best to try them on first, but I got some guidance online and got them in the right size.
Dave Stewart: Oddball
Unusual for bike gloves but have their place. Review on site accurate and helpful. Service is prompt and reliable as we have come to expect.
Dave: Great gloves
This is the second pair of these gloves Ive bought. The first pair were a different colour and a size 3XL. I found them to get a great glove and definitely by go to gloves for everyday riding. The only time I wasnt wearing them is when was wet. The recent pair I bought are size 4XL which to be honest I didnt think you could get! Motorlegends to the rescue there! Lol I bought them at a sale price so that was an added bonus and I chose the grey to match my Marrakesh jacket. The gloves are super comfortable especially the 4XL ones! allow enough air flow to keep your hands cool but not freezing. Fortunately I havent put them to the test in a spill but I dont doubt theyll do what theyre meant to do and protect my hands. Very happy with my purchase and as always the service I received from the team at motorlegends.
Happy Camper: Excellent summer glove.
I have been very pleased with these gloves and would definitely recommend as an excellent summer glove. Very comfortable from new, good airflow, and well-made using high quality materials. They articulate well, with good feel on the controls, and still feel like they offer a decent level of protection. The size guidance seems spot on. I am usually a size 12 eg. Klim Adventure and Halvarssons Ljusdal both fit well in a 12, and the 3xl fits me perfectly. Last but not least, they are a very good price when compared to similar spec summer gloves, and feel like a lot of glove for the money.
Mark H: Lovely gloves
I bought a medium, perfect fit when on, but can be difficult to get on when hands are hot. Quality of glove very good and great service as always from the team at Motolegends.
Gary Webster: Beautiful traditional styling
Lovely gloves, a perfect fit and very comfortable. Nice design and very easy to secure at the wrist. Perfect for a cruise.
