For the right kind of rider, the Roblina is the perfect motorcycle jacket, but because most motorcycle dealers are frightened to step outside their comfort zone it is, for 2020, totally exclusive to Motolegends. The first point to make is that it is a laminated jacket. This means it will be totally waterproof and never wet out. The lamination is two-layer, so it is really comfortable to wear in the way that most Rukka jackets historically have not been. The outer fabric is a hard wearing and abrasion resistant Cordura 600 material. Armour is by D30 and comes fitted in the elbows and shoulders. There’s a pocket for a back protector. You get vents on the chest, up the flanks and up the sleeves. The hood is removable. You get four external pockets and two on the inside. For a shapely fit you get button adjusters at the waist. There are also adjusters and a zip at the sleeves to make putting gloves on a bit easier. Warmth comes courtesy of a 120g. quilted, thermal inner jacket. Now what this probably isn’t is a jacket you’d go touring in. You could, but that’s not what it has been designed for. There is no zip, for example, to allow the Roblina to be attached to a Rukka pant, although there is a crotch strap. What the Roblina is is an elegant, shapely, easy-to-wear, incredibly waterproof jacket that is highly protective, warm and well vented. All of which probably make it sound as though you could tour in it! But actually, we reckon the the Roblina is more about weekend jaunts and local trips. You, of course, might take a different view.
