JeremyR: Held V Scotts

I am a long time user of the original Scotts versions. They are good waterproofs and I have bought 3 jackets and one pair of the over trousers. I am pretty tall at 1.94m so the original trousers were not really long enough. This is a problem I have with most bike trousers. They ride up over time and end up exposing the top my boots and the rain gets in. Anyway, the long Held versions are a bit longer and they have stirrups so the problem is mitigated a bit, but I still find they wont stay over cover my ankle boots. I dont see this as a problem with the Helds, it more I have a freakish body shape. As to the Helds V Scotts, just as good and the longer leg and stirrups are a good addition. Worth the money IMO.

Peter Burch: Light and Flexible

I bought these to replace the manufacturers fitted knee armour in my Oxford Original Bootcut Jeans. From new theyd chafed the skin on my right knee and left both knees sore in just 150 miles of riding. This armour being thinner and more flexible avoids the problems above and makes my expensive Oxford jeans able to be worn in comfort, thank goodness. It was a conscious choice to get the Level 1 Ghost Armour rather than Level 2 because I wanted the extra room for my obviously too long femurs.

Jonathan: Great kit

Used on Moto Guzzi v85tt. Attached via luggage rack. Used for 7 nights. Sturdy and secure. Waterproofing excellent. Easy to use. Gonna add a US10 for waterproofspuncture repair kit instead of using a back pack
