Bowtex armoured motorcycle base layers give you more freedom over what you wear on the bike, with abrasion resistance and impact protection built into the layers underneath. Our range centres on the Elite V2 shirts and leggings, with dedicated men’s and ladies’ versions. These are protective riding garments in their own right, designed to sit beneath your outer clothing.

The Bowtex Elite V2 shirt combines a stretchy, Dyneema-based construction with an AAA rating and SAS-TEC Level 2 shoulder and elbow armour. The matching Elite V2 leggings also achieve AAA and come with Level 2 protection at the knees and hips. The shirt has pockets for optional chest and back protectors, so check what is included when putting your outfit together.

The appeal is flexibility: you can choose your outer layers to suit the weather and the occasion. Fit still matters, though.
