Fuel motorcycle gear
Fuel is a brand that makes motorcycle gear for modern motorcycle adventurers. All their gear looks the part but we have chosen those items that we believe also will perform the technical job required of them. We have selected from Fuel's new expedition line their Astrail jacket, trousers and gloves and we are also stocking the range of the Sergeant 2 AAA single layer rally-styled pant.

Fuel Sergeant 2 pants in colonial white
So, now, what drives you to buy outrageous and outrageously expensive white bike pants that even The Chap in the Cap suggests are impractical...Well, you dont need a reason, youre just reacting to some mad impulse. And I kinda love these. Point 1. They are NOT white. They are a very light taupe - still a classic chino colour, certainly nowhere near as dark as tan, possibly nearer the cool grey shade in Klim. Point 2- I hate the armour, tho good quality swapped for my favourites. Point 3 - a stupid velcro closure for the handy external knee armour pockets does not line up cleanly, so you get a lip, which is ok if youre going for the Mad Max look but annoys me still, its much more useful than internal knee pockets Point 3 - great fit, flattering, comfortable on and off the bike, am 3232 in LevisUniqlo, and they were spot on. I didnt find them short on the bike, either. Point 4 - maybe only me, but on my sports bike, the suede thigh patch bends naturally in the knee crease and presents a fairly hard edge that snags on the tankframe and thats unnerving when youre putting your foot down, but this doesnt happen on an adventure bike... Overall, I love them even more than my Rokker Tweeds tho less acceptable in some business environments. They are at a very significant premium in price to Oxfords latest chino - but you do rather feel like youre the business when you turn up in these. And if you worry about what other people think, buy the other colours instead.
Fuel Sergeant 2 pants in black
Ive owned a pair of Sergeant pants for about 6 years. Theyve been my go-to bike trousers and Ive covered 1000s of miles in them. Theyre beginning to get a bit shiny around the bum crotch area, so when Motolegends offered the Mk2s with £50 off I decided to get another pair as backup. Im 32 waist but ordered both 32 and 34 because the original Sergeants size small. There is no mention of this in the Motolegends description but the Mk2s are the same. So I sent the 32 waist back. No free returns on sale items, so it cost £3.40 postage, but thats fine. The Mk2 Sergeant pants are quite a bit longer than the Mk1s. The Mk1s were perfect for me but the Mk2s will need turning up. More significantly is that the leg is now wider. Initially this made me think twice about keeping them because I like the snug fit of the original pants. But from experience I know theyre hard wearing and I love the styling, so I just accept that theyre a slightly looser fit on the leg. Incidentally Ive never fitted the armour. Great service from Motolegends as usual.

These are absolutely fabulous. Both the styling and fit are great. The colour may not be the most practical, but I like it far too much to be worrying about that. Ive got a couple of pairs of short boots that fit higher than the ankle, and the pants probably look even better worn outside than inside. May end up buying a second pair. Id be disappointed if they were no longer available when I need some more!
